A/N: Hi everyone :) Sorry it's been ages since I've published a new chapter, I've been trying my best to write more for the past few days but I've had so many tests the past few weeks it's hard to find the time to write. This chapter may be really weird because I was sort of rushing through it. I hoped you liked it though. Please comment on anything that can be improved on and vote! Thank you! :) x
Days passed very quickly and the Dark Lord was getting impatient. Snape continuously reminded us on our task. Draco and I now hardly had time to spend time to spend together alone, let alone to study. Tests were coming up and it was harder to catch up since the both of us were too distracted in class thinking about some plot or plan for the assassination to listen in class. When Slughorn was explaining to us about the different potions that can be used to spike drinks and cause a terrible reaction or even death. Only then did it occur to me there's been something there all along to help get the mission over and done with.
I nudge Draco in the elbow and give him a knowing glance. He gets the message and relaxes a bit. The lesson went on but my head was tossing and turning. I couldn't focus. My mind was too fixated on everything outside the classroom and pretty much everything that was related to an assassination of the school's headmaster. I sat in my seat, staring at my orange quill the whole time that I didn't notice that the other students left already and Slughorn was back in his office, scribbling and grading our worksheets. Draco sat patiently beside me, his bag slung across his left shoulder. He stared at me gently as I was knocked back into reality and he helps me pack.
"What's the idea?" he asks me, his grey eyes bearing into mine.
"Come," I sling my bag across my shoulders and take his hand and rush out of the classroom.
I lead the way to the Room of Requirement where I knew no one would be present since it was now well deserted since fifth year when Potter used it for some army. I reach the corridor and I close my eyes and ask for the room to open up to me. It does and it lets out a grumbling sound as it revealed its doors. When the doors open fully, I run in and close the door behind us. It was very dark and I light up my wand with a simple Lumos and I could finally see the things around me. I let go of his hand and I find a spot in the room where we could sit and I find a small couch where both Draco and I could fit in. I sit down and pat the seat next to mine and he sits.
"So what's the plan?" he asks again, ruffling the front of his hair such that it fell untidiy over his forehead.
"Remember the bottle of poisoned mead Snape gave to us? We should have used it earlier!" I exclaim, causing the room to echo in protest.
He frowns a bit, in deep thought before the frown disappears and a smile appears on his lips. "Come with me," he then grabs my elbow and runs to the common room. "Wait here," he tells me and runs up to the boys dormitories.
I wait there, strolling around the cold common room. I could see the water lapping against the common room windows and the gloomy lanterns that hung on the ceiling. He soon comes rushing down the stairs with a paper-wrapped bottle in his hands. "Here it is," he tells me. The paper was made of parchment. What a waste. We could have used it for homework or something.
"Now how do we get it to Dumbledore?" he asks me. I stare at the carpet in thought when something comes to mind.
"We can use the imperius curse on Rosemerta from the Three Broomsticks to give it to Slughorn to pass to Dumbledore!" I tell him, my eyes lighting up in exctiement.
With a moment of realisation, Draco let's out a grin and nods in agreement. "I guess we'll wait until tomorrow to carry it out since... well, it's a Saturday and we get to go to Hogsmeade. But we should keep this somewhere in here first so no one accidentally finds it in either one of our dormitories," he tells me, already lighting up his wand and searching around for a good place to hide the soon-to-be crime scene evidence.
