PROLOGUE

Louvina's POV

Hi, I'm Louvina Stanton. 17 years old actually, a few months away from turning 18. I'm a cat person and blah, blah, blah...

My parents are amazing and super supportive. I have a British dad and a Canadian mom.

My best friend, Keke Wilters , is a brunette bombshell. She's the absolute best. Knows me inside out. Loves to tease me a lot. She's extraordinary.

Now, my sister, Abbey, is my stronghold. We understand each other. Honestly, we weren't even that close when we were younger but after the death of our brother Mark, we realized all we had was each other and we provided each others shoulders to cry on.
After that we were inseparable.

Scratch the fact that she's six years older than me. We still bond. We never fight or argue, or at least we didn't use to.
And I'm not very proud to say our first argument was over a boy.

Which boy is cruel enough to cause two close sisters to fight?

Only one person can do this and that's
Adam Brickle.

Adam is a very close family friend of ours. He was my sister's middle school bestie and their parents seeing how close their children were, also became friends overtime.
We have occasional dinners with them and other times, Sunday afternoon barbeques.

Adam, unfortunately had taken to a life of a playboy when they started highschool. His name definitely went down in the history books somewhere.
Now, after sometime, Adam developed feelings for Abbey but kept it to himself and continued with his ways until after college when he was shut down by my sister. Limiting him strictly into the best friendzone. Soon after, Abbey left to further her studies in South Korea. This caused a crack in their friendship and for two years, they barely talked. But this was good for Adam, he got over her.

2 years later she's back and their relationship is back to where it was before all that drama but one thing my sister didn't know was the time she spent away, I got closer to Adam and maybe or maybe not, I started crushing on him. Just a little bit though.

Anyway, when Abbey returned, she realised that Adam had started flirting with me and she told me to ignore Adam and if possible stay away from him.

I didn't know why she said that because Adam was Adam. He flirted with every thing that was female and walked on two legs. But she was awfully persistent that I stayed away from him. I thought she was just being dramatic but I agreed anyway. And after that, our arguments have been about the same thing or more like person.

But the question was how exactly do you stay away from someone you have a crush on? Especially when he's almost always at your house?... That, I'd have to find out.
