Louvina's POV
"What the hell is going on?" Adam seethes.
Alvin and I scramble off the bed and look at both Adam and Abbey with guilty faces.
"If I hadn't known better, I'd say you two were up to something. Something naughty" Abbey states and winks at me.
My eyes pop open and I try to explain but she interjects me.
"Anyway, dad wanted us to check on you two. They'll be leaving soon. And it seems that we arrived right on time" she smirks.
Once again, I open my mouth but she cuts me off."Just get back to whatever you were doing before we came" and with that, she leaves.
Adam stands in the doorway, his gaze shifting between Alvin amd I.
"Well?..." He drawls.
"No-nothing" Alvin immediately stutters and walks out of my room.
Once he's out, Adam shuts the door and walks towards me with narrowed eyes.
"It was nothing Adam. We were just watching a movie on my laptop" I explain.
He tilts his head to the side a little and maintains his stare.
"To all the boys; Always and Forever" I answer before he asks.
He slowly nods. And whispers, "It better be nothing." Then he captures my lips in a rough but gentle kiss.
The kiss made me overwhelmed. He was trying to remind me that I was his and I couldn't say I wasn't happy with that.I gently pull away.
"You have to go. Don't want anyone else barging in here" I whisper, out of breath."Yeah but you should leave first. Tell them I went to use the bathroom or something" he says.
I nods and kiss his cheek before leaving.
As I descend the stairs and walk into the living room,I'm met with Mrs. Brickle's warm smile.
"Louvina dear, you should come over often okay. Let's do a little baking together, how about that?" She sweetly asks.
Mrs Brickle is the the best baker I've ever met. Occasionally, when we visited them, or had dinner at theirs, she shared her recipes with me and often made me help her bake.
"Of course Michelle. That would be lovely" I reply just in time for Adam to enter the living room.
We walk them to the door and it is obvious that my mom isn't really happy they're leaving.
"Tonight was amazing Michelle. Next time, dinner's at yours?" Mom asks.
"Definitely. See you soon Gina" she replies and they finally walk out the door.
I turn on my heels immediately, desperate to leave before Abbey brings up what almost happened in my room.
"Uh uh uh" Abbey's voice sings from behind me.
She joins me on the top stair, "lets go to my room. I want to hear everything!" She squeals and practically drags me to her room down the hall.
**************
Abbey's room wasn't really girly. It was painted beige just like mine. Apart from her bed, she had a few posters of inspirational quotes on the walls, a sizeable vanity table, a couple of bean bag chairs thrown on the floors and a dreamcatcher on the right door of her
closet.I had flopped down on one of her bean bag chairs and was trying so hard to convince her that I didn't like Alvin; not even a little but she kept throwing me winks and smirking like she could sense I was lying but I really wasn't. I was frustrated!
"Yes, Alvin almost kissed me bu-" she queals. I throw her the nastiest glare I can make and slightly smile when she stops.
"But I was kinda in the process of telling him to stop when you barged in" I explain.
"Oh. But why would you tell him to stop? Especially when you like him" she says rubbing her shoulder with mine.
"What no. I don't." I say for what feels like the 1000th time!
"Anyway, I gotta go. I'm drained. Goodnight Abbs" I hug her before retiring to my own room.
I enter my room and go straight to change into my pyjamas. When my dress is off , my phone starts to ring. It was Adam on facetime which I waste no time answering.
"Hey" I greet with a cheery smile.
"Lou, I know you have the hots for me but I was kinda hoping we would take things slow" he says. I frown. What is he talking about.
Then it snaps. I drop my phone.
I am in my freaking underwear. I hear laughter coming from my phone still on the floor.Of course, this is the perfect time for Adam to laugh at me.
I'm so embarrassed. How could I forget?!I quickly throw on my pyjamas and pick up my phone to look at Adam whose face was now red from laughter while mine was red from embarrassment.
"Sorry. I-uh f-forgot" I stutter. I flop onto my bed and get under the covers.
"Sure you did" he says sarcastically.
"I forgot" I whine and groan into my pillow.
"I was kidding baby" he says with a small chuckle.
My heart flips at the nickname but I just play it off.
"So, you done explaining to Abbey?" He asks.
I give him a weird look."How'd you know?" I ask back.
"Oh I don't know but I do know Abbey" he smirks.
I nod in understanding.
Abbey and Adam are a lot alike so, chances are he's about to ask about Alvin. Can't let that happen."Anyway, goodnight Adam. Err sweet dreams" I rattle out.
"Hey, hey. I also know you Lou, don't try to brush it off. What happened?" He asks.
"Ugh... Fine. Alvin almost kissed me when we were watching the movie. I don't even know how that almost happened but I tried to stop him, just when you guys barged in" I explain.
"And I'm sorry" I add.
He stays silent for a while. "Well okay. I believe you. But I'm gonna have to give that little fucker some advice" he lays emphasis on the last word.
"Do-" I'm cut off with a yawn. "Don't scare him" I warn him.
"I won't. You should probably get to bed. Goodnight baby... Oh and let's meet in our dreams okay?"
"Mm" I hum and yawn again.
Adam hungs up after saying a couple of inappropriate things that I will definitely end up dreaming about.
