Louvina's POV"....Happy birthday to you" Keke ends.
"Now blow out the candles" she snaps. Mrs. Wilters made chocolate cake, our favourite and Keke couldn't wait for me to blow out the candles so that she could dig in.
Since it was my birthday and I wasn't going to celebrate it, I slept over at Keke's yesterday. I have to admit, it was nice to wake up to the nice smell of my favourite cake. I got out of bed, quickly brushed my teeth and followed the smell to Mrs. Wilters kitchen where both her and Keke were covered in flour.
When they noticed me, they wished me a happy birthday and called Mr. Wilters and Marvin, Keke's younger brother to the kitchen then they lit the candles and sang the birthday song.
They are really my second family.
I roll my eyes at Keke and make a wish before blowing out the candles.
"Yay let's dig in." Keke pushes me from my position in front of the cake and sticks her fork in it but Mrs. Wilters slaps her hands and takes out the fork.
"Let the birthday girl have the first bite" she scolds Keke then she hands me the fork.
"Thank you Mrs. Wilters" I smile and take a small piece of the cake and put it into my mouth, looking at Keke who was scowling at me and exaggerating my moan.
"I'm glad you like it Louvina" Mrs. Wilters says in amusement.
My face reddens. I forgot they were here.
"Y-yeah. Its amazing" I smile sheepishly."Okay, now can we dig in?" Marvin asks impatiently.
"Way ahead of you buddy" Mr. Wilters says laughs with a mouthful of cake.
Keke pulls me upstairs to her room.
"Happy birthday Lou" she hugs me tightly."Thank you so much for being an amazing bestie" then she hands me a box.
I smile at her before opening it and gasp, tears welling up in my eyes.
"Keke" I whisper.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you" I hug her.
She got me a BTS phone case. She knew how much this would mean to me.
"How'd you get this?" I ask admiring the phone case with seven of the cutest faces on the entire planet on the back.
"Some shop on Amazon" she shrugs.
"Well, thank you" I smile and rush to her bedside table for my phone. I immediately take off the ugly plain purple and white cover and replace it with my new one just in time for my phone to ring.
Once I answer, I'm greeted with Abbey singing the birthday song for me.
"Thanks Abbs" I smile.
"Never mind. Again, I'm sorry for not being there for your birthday but I swear when I come back, we're celebrating okay"
"Okay" I answer
