Louvina's POV
"You know, the last time I was here, you asked me to help you choose a dress for the dinner" Adam reminisces.
I woke to an empty bed only to be surprised by Adam with breakfast in bed. I pulled him next to me to eat with me and when we finished, we cuddled up in bed, talking about random things.
"Yeah" I say not really knowing where he was going with this.
"I liked how it felt" he says.
"How so?" I ask, lifting my head off his chest to look at him.
"For a moment, it felt like we were a happily married couple, Like it was a normal thing for us and it made me imagine that actually coming true in the future"
Was he saying he wanted to marry me? This was basically a marriage proposal right?
He chuckles. "Chill Lou, I said future. Don't worry your pretty little head" he clarifies then kisses my forehead.
Well if that was for the future then what about now?
"Adam?" I call in a little voice.
"Yeah baby?" He responds.
"What are we?" I ask and start fidgeting with my fingers. I was so nervous because I really liked Adam but what about Abbey?
"I'm not your boyfriend?" He asks getting up slowly to lean on the headboard.
Was he?
"You are? Wait, we're dating?" I ask frantically.
"We're not?"
"Stop that!"
"Stop what?"
"Replying my questions with questions"
"What questions?"
"Adam!" I hit his bare chest
"Fine. Jeez no need to be violent" he pouts and rubs his chest.
"Anyway, how come we're dating when I don't remember you asking me to be your girlfriend?" I ask.
"Do I have to?" He whines
"You know, I shouldn't have boys here in my room but I could make an exception for my boyfriend" I say coyly.
"And since you're not my boyfriend.... " I trail off leaving him to complete it.
"You want me to leave?" He asks
"All you have to do is ask" I say again
"But is it really important??" He groans.
"Adam, its one sentence" I insist.
"Exactly. Why is it so important then?"
I sigh. Why was it so hard to ask me to be his girlfriend? I was starting to think he didn't want me to be his girlfriend. Wait, was he just playing with me? I felt so stupid.
"Lou" he goes to touch me but I jerk my hand away from him.
"Maybe you should leave?" I was unsure if I wanted him to or not.
"Sure" is all he mumbles before walking out the door. I stood in my spot until I heard the front door close, then I dropped to the floor with tears running down my face.
Was I overreacting? If you did think about it, basically, we were dating but I just wanted him to make it official.
Maybe I was just being a drama queen but it kinda hurt me that he chose to leave over just asking me to be his girlfriend. It really hurt me.******************
"Yo it was so funny. Like when Louvina's boyfriend just went caveman apeshit on Luke" Lindsay laughs.
She insisted Keke and I join their table for lunch and she was having a blast telling everyone about how Adam came and pulled me out of the party.
I can't help the way my eyes roll.
"Once again Lindsay, he's not my boyfriend" I say in a calm voice.
"Yeah right. Tell that to Luke's busted face" Brittany rolls her eyes.
I frown. Adam didn't touch Luke.
"What do you mean?" I ask
"Your boyfriend rearranged Luke's face honey" she says and batts her eyelashes at me.
My frown only deepens. And thankfully, Keke changes the subject to something about cheerleading while my mind goes back to Adam.
He hadn't called or texted and I was wondering if he was giving me space or he was also mad at me.All of this drama is driving me insane!!
