Night Changes

Part 18

The next morning I woke up happy, something I haven't done in a while. I looked over and Charlie and he were still sleeping. I should make him breakfast I thought and headed out the kitchen. After I got out the bacon and eggs I cooked then and put them on a plate. Leo began crying so I went to his room and got them out of his crib.

"Good morning buddy.", I said walking into the bathroom since we were trying to get him potty trained before having to leave.

"Morning.", he said back. I helped him onto the toilet and he actually went.

"Good job!", I said high fiving him after he washed his hands.

"Candy?", he asked smiling.

"Yeah you can have some candy.", I said as we walked to the kitchen. I got out some m & ms and handed him a few. "I made some bacon and eggs for breakfast.", I said as I put him in his high chair.

"Yummy.", he said as I handed him a plate and fork.

"I have to go to the doctors office today.", I told him.

"For baby?"

"Yes do you want to come?"

"Yes."

"Okay i'll get you dress when you finished eating.", he nodded and just ate his eggs.

"Y/n!", I heard Charlie yell.

"In the kitchen!", I yelled back. He came in and side hugged me, kissing my cheek. "I made bacon and eggs your plates on the counter."

"Thank you.", he said, getting them and sitting beside me. "we have to get to the doctors soon."

"I know Leo wants to come too.", I said he just nodded and finished eating. Charlie cleaned up and I got Leo dressed in grey sweatpants and a matching grey sweatshirt that Madi had gotten him for his second birthday.

I then brought him to my room so I could get dressed, "Charlie we need to leave in ten minutes!", I yelled pulling up my shorts. Then putting on my shirt. 

Charlie came into our room and put on some jeans and a t-shirt, "I'm ready when you are.", he said grabbing his keys.

"Come on Leo.", I said grabbing his hand as we walked out of the door. We got in the car and headed to the doctor. A little while later we arrived and signed in.

"Are you excited Leo?", Charlie said as we sat down in the waiting room.

"Yes.", he said, swinging his legs from the chair.

"Do you want your car?", I asked him. He nodded and I got his car out of my purse. HE rode it on the rails of the chair while me and Charlie talked. They called our name, Charlie picked up Leo and we went to the room.

"Y/n, you think you're pregnant, correct?", the doctor asked as I nodded. "What symptoms do you have?"

"Well we took a test yesterday, I've been having morning sickness and cravings."

"Well sounds pretty possible i'm going to take a urine sample and blood test.", she said, handing me a cup. I went to the bathroom and peed in it.

"Thank you.", I said as I came back out handing her the cup. She took it and walked off. "This brings back memories."

"I remember we were both so scared and nervous.", he said laughing.

I looked at Leo who was playing a game on my phone, "Now we have him."

The doctor then came back in, "Now it's time for your blood test.", she said, pulling the cart beside me. "It may sting a little.", she said putting the needle in my arm. "You're all done, I'll be back in about five minutes with the results. I sat their anxiously bouncing my legs up and down. Charlie was beside me holding my hand.

"What if it's negative?", I said to him.

"Then we'll try again."

"You're right."

The doctor came back in with a clipboard, "Well Mrs and Mr Gillespie congratulations you're having a baby!" I looked at Charlie smiling. He came and hugged me. "You can come back in about 2 weeks to get your first ultrasound.

I then remembered, "Actually we'll be in Canada then."

"How long will you be staying?", she asked, taking a note.

"For about a year he is filming a show."

"Right do you have a doctor in Canada I can send the results to."

"No we don't sorry.", I said.

"That's okay i'll just give you your paperwork and you can find a doctor."

"Thank you so much.", I said. We paid and walked out of the clinic.

"I'm so happy we're having another little jelly bean.", Charlie said as we got in the car.

"Me too.", I said. The rest of the night we just hung out happily on the news about a little jellybean.
