Night Changes

Part 17

Once we got home Charlie quickly unbuckled Leo and put him down for his afternoon nap.

"Come on lets see the results!"Charlie whispered, screaming, running to the bathroom.

"I want a snack first.", I groaned walking slowly after him.

"I just think you don't want to see the results."

"Yeah cause I know that it's negative."

"Quit being a Debbie downer."

"Too bad."

"What's wrong?"he said, coming to hug me.

"I just", I began crying, "I don't want to let you down or have too much hope and there not even be a baby. Do you know how hard that is?"

"I understand I feel it every time we flip over a negative test but, if we let negativity take over then what's gonna happen.", he said running his fingers through my hair with his other arm wrapped around my back.

"I don't even know anymore, I'm a little happy inside this at least one sign but if I have too much hope I'll be disappointed."

"So do you want me in there when you see it?"

"Yes and I want to be holding your hand."

"Okay princess", he said holding my hand.

"Can I eat a snack first though?"

"Yeah what do you want?"

"Chocolate covered strawberries."

He looked at me with confusion, "I thought you didn't like those."

"I just don't like it when I crave them all the time and can't live without them but now I want them but they would take too long to make."

He beamed, "Wait so you are craving them."

"My periods supposed to come in two days."

"Okay okay, I think we have Nutella if you want to dip strawberries in that."

"Yayyy.", I cheered getting the strawberries out of the fridge and washing them as Charlie found the Nutella.

"Here babe.", he said setting it on the counter beside where I was cutting strawberries while kissing my cheek and hugging me from behind.

"Thank you.", I said finishing my strawberries. "I don't wanna go to work tomorrow.

"I don't either.", he said. I worked at a daycare so I got to be with Leo all day and Charlie was still an actor where he is filming right now it's where we live so we can just stay here. It's some kind of mystery show I think it will premiere in 2 months though. But, we are filming season 3 of Julie and the Phantoms next month.

"Do you want one?", I asked Charlie holding up a strawberry in his face.

"Yes.", he said biting it. I giggled a little and ate the rest. Once, I was done Charlie grabbed my hand and practically dragged me to the bathroom. I mean yes I was purposely trying to stop him from moving so he didn't really have a choice but still.

"You want me to be there or not?", he said letting go of my hand as I walked in the bathroom.

"I already told you yes."

"Okay sorry."

"It's fine.", I said. "Im ready."

"Let's do it.", he said, grabbing my hand. I took a deep breath and slowly took the test out of the package on the side that didn't show it was positive or not. "On the count of three flip it over okay." I nodded. "One."
