Night Changes

Part 13

Time skip one year later

"Charlie!", I yelled from the kitchen. Currently we were home since filming had ended. I was sad but still kept in touch with the cast. They were actually staying at a hotel so they would be able to come to Leo's first birthday party today. Then our wedding in 3 days.

"Yes!", he called back from the living room where he was putting up decorations.

"I'm done with the cake!", I said, setting it on a pedestal. Then, I heard crying Leo was awake. I went upstairs to his room picking him up. "Hey baby boy. Happy first birthday.", I kissed his forehead. He made baby noises back. I changed him into some tan overalls and a white shirt underneath. We were having a jungle themed party since Leo was really into jungle animals. "Let's go say hi to daddy.", I said picking him up and taking him downstairs.

"Hey little bud.", Charlie said, taking him from my arms. "Remember last year I was calling him jellybean."

"I do, I kinda miss my bump.", I said, doubting my hands on my stomach.

"I mean we could always have another.", he said tickling Leo.

"Lets at least get married first.", I said, going back to decorate a few more things.

"Ugh fine.", he said, setting Leo down and playing with him.

"I,m Here!", Maid said bursting through the front door. I laughed and she took a drink of her Starbucks sitting down with us.

"I want a drink.", I said pouting. She shoved it in my face and I took a drink. "Thank you."

She nodded, "I really like what you've done with the place."

"Thanks.", Charlie said, picking up Leo. I smiled.

"When is everyone else going to get here?", she said as she plopped onto the couch.

"I don't know soon probably.", I said sitting next to her. A few minutes later they all walked in. I greeted them and we got started on playing games and just talking. It was time for us to do the smash cake. We all sang happy birthday and I handed it to him. He touched it then pulled his hand back causing me to laugh. He then touched it again and licked his hand realizing it was good. From then on it just exalted from there it was on his clothes, in his hair, all over the floor. I sighed and went to go get a mop.

Charlie followed me, "Don't worry I got it you go give him a bath.", he said taking it from me. I smiled and walked to where he was.

"Madi I need help giving him a bath.", I said as I picked him up she followed me to the bathroom.

"I know you actually don't need help whats up.", she said as I started the water.

"Charlie wants another kid but for one im not ready and the doctor said I can't have another or it would be very very rare.", I said putting Leo in the bath.

"Well they said that last time and look who's here.", she said gesturing to Leo.

"Well yeah but the odds are like a million to one.", I said washing his hair.

"Why not try, you never know."

"I just don't wanna disappoint Charlie."

"He'll understand he did the first time and was so supportive you have nothing to worry about. If all else fails you can adopt."

"I guess I can.", I sighed and finished washing Leo. Madi got him another outfit and we put it on him walking back out to the party. Everyone stayed for a few more hours than left.

"We did good.", Charlie said as he set Leo in his crib.

"Yeah we did but I need to have a serious talk with you.", I said panic spread all over his face. I just took his hand and led him to our bedroom.

We sat down, "The doctor said the odds of me having a second kid are super very rare."

"They said that last time though."

"Yeah well it's even more unlikely now."

"But we can try.", he said, giving me puppy dog eyes.

"We can but don't get your hopes up."

"I won't."

"Even if I start having symptoms it will most likely end in a miscarriage so don't."

"Please can we still try.", he said.

"Yes but just remember."

"Don't get my hopes up.", he said. After we got ready for bed we laid down to go to sleep.

Charlie put his hands on my stomach, "Please make another baby.", he said. I looked at him weirdly, "What?"

"That's a little strange.", I said taking his hands and putting them on his chest.

"No it worked last time."

"Huh?"

"Remember I talked to it everyday and Leo didn't turn into a miscarriage."

"That's after you knew I was pregnant."

"No it's not you don't know what I did when you were sleeping."

My eyes widened, "What did you do?!"

"Nothing I just did the same thing I just did I did it every night after you found out you were probably infertile."

I smiled, "Seriously."

"Yes I had hope."

"I love you.", I said, snuggling closer to him, giving him a peck.

"I love you too.", he said as we fell asleep.
