'War is when the young and stupid, are tricked by the old and bitter into killing each other' Niko Bellic.
The mourning sun was at its crescent of rising. The rays of sunlight beating off of the water and wet leaves.
The mourning was peaceful, a solid foundation of silence, but that was soon to be detonated by the enemy.
Their light tanks and lighter medium tanks had been lined up one by one quietly by driving each individually at a time. All of them lined up in a spectacle of machinery. The sun's light shining onto them like magnificent chariots.
The Cromwells, Panzer II's and III's, and the Japanese Type 5 Chi-Ri and Type 4 Chi-To. Although there were a lot of them, it was not their entire arsenal of lighter tanks, just the majority of them.
They were hidden from the naked eye by trees and their camoflauge, the perfect ambush was about to happen.
Only a few of the students were up, and one had an interest in birds and with many flying around, he brought out his binoculars.
Looking around through a magnifying lens he saw bustards, Cuckoos, and Allies. These birds he had never seen before. Then he spotted something you knew you would see but never wanted to be the one to find it. He spotted them, the enemy, through their camoflauge.
The tanks almost blended perfectly in, but the moving bodies gave it away.
He yelled, "The enemies, I see them up on the hill, SOUND THE ALARM!"
Hammond was one of the few up and was alerted to what the student of his school had found. He dropped his food, ran over to his tank, and powered up the speakers. His heart was racing as these tanks were the ones he feared the most.
If they circled around his tank, they could easily outrun the sluggish turret and average accuracy. Then putting a dozen bullets in the turret as its thin armor couldn't even withstand the small tank's gun.
EEERRRRROOOOOWWWWW!!!!!!
The alarm he had was a WW2 air raid siren and pumped it up to max volume.
The enemies realized they had been spotted upon hearing the siren, and decided it was time to attack.
"ATTACK!" The German leader of the pack said after being told by Woden to give the order.
VROOM!
The tanks all leaped out of their positions, and pile drived down the hill at speeds impressive for old tanks.
They had all decided not to fire while on the move at such a speed unlike in the war fantasy movies.
Down below at the camps. It was a complete cluster fuck of students rushing in their pajamas, but many in their school uniform as they had decided to stay in them for this exact situation.
Hammonds crew was quick to come to him.
He gave the order "We need to hide, as we will be their primary target!"
"Yes sir!" his crew said back.
Putting themselves into gear, they made their way down the road to the beach where they would try and hold out.
Nonna and her crew had gotten in their IS-2 relatively quickly as they had set up their tent close to it. The same went for Nemesis, Conqueror, Matteo Tremblay, and about 25% of their students as well. The rest weren't so lucky.
The light tanks came crashing through, running oversupply boxes, trucks and fired at the empty tanks, or tanks just getting ready.
The fire of detonating ammo and burning fuel rose high into the sky. The smell of burning gasoline on cold air was a scent that would be engraved into their minds forever. Their very first taste of war.
During the fighting, Kirovets had noticed that Katyusha's KV-2 was being swarmed by a fast Panzer II.
Knowing that they were too fast to shoot, he ordered his driver to go full speed beside her tank.
"Ok! Here we go!" His driver said in a panic.
Meanwhile, Katyusha in her tank was waving around the gun trying to shoot the Panzer II.
CRASH!
Kirovets Bison T-103 was so much bigger than the Panzer II and weighed significantly more, that he crushed it.
The wide track climbing over the front of Panzer II, caving in its turret, and eventually collapsing its suspension and totaling the engine.
Fire erupted, and then it exploded as the ammo in the turret fell down to the bottom and detonated.
BOOM!
The explosion was thought to be the end of Kirovet and his tank... but it wasnt.
The fire had only scorched the bottom of its camo, and the leftover grease on the sprockets and wheels caught on fire.
The burst of flames made his tank look like it was almost taken over by Ghost Rider. Katyusha upon looking out didn't know what that was, but Kirovets was without a doubt. The most badass person she had seen in this moment.
Conqueror got on to the radio frequency that every tank was connected to.
"We must protect our supplies, lightly armored tank destroyers and the biplanes!" He commanded.
Miho was in a different situation than everybody else was. Since her and the crew went up against many fast opponents in the past, this was like a review of a final exam.
Firing into the backs of the enemy's tanks, setting their engines ablaze like they were fireworks.
Nemesis was on a total rampage. Since her tank was heavy, it bounced off the small shells, and as it was fast, it managed to keep up. Ramming, but mainly shooting.
Much of the supplies had been ruined, or barely salvageable. The majority of the light tanks and mediums had now been destroyed, but a few had survived and were still there. These tanks numbered in three. Two Panzer II's, and one Type 4 Chi-To.
They were the most elite of them of all.
A conversation on their radios began.
"We need to find the Fv4005 Stage II, but also do more damage"
"I've got an idea," The tank commander from the Type 4 said.
"What is that"
"We need to find the Fv4005 like we said, but also get Conqueror down in here hopes we can do the crossfire move"
"Roger that!"
Their tanks went across the beach sand fast and kicking it up like dune buggies. The rising sun had almost emerged completely now, just about shining down on the rock cliffs.
Hammonds crew was hidden in a rock face that had a wide cave entrance. The grey rock pillars to their left provided shade and cover to conceal them, but it was in jeopardy now. They couldn't go any further back due to the turret being too tall, and the ground unstable.
The sun's rays hit the rocks, shining through the holes in it, breaking parts of their cover. Their white paint job shined like diamonds when the sun hit it. To make matters bleaker, their barrel was sticking out a bit, and being hit by the sun.
Hearing the engines of the tanks approaching louder and louder, their hearts pounded like drums at a concert faster and faster. There was enough ammunition in their tanks to blow their turret sky high and incinerate in them in less than a second.
