On the road to Fukuyama, the Rabbit Team was making their way in the M3 Lee. A tank with both a medium tank gun and a tank destroyer gun. Because when you don't know what to put on a tank, you slap everything on. Both of the guns would provide proficient firepower, but the height rendered it poor camo and its notorious pink paint job just added.
The armor would be a problem too, as it was only 51 MM on the front and less upon its turret and sides. The guns they would face up against once they met with the enemy, could easily pierce their armor like a hot knife through butter.
days upon days had passed, and each felt quieter.
Azusa Sawa saw in the distance, black smoke rising, and the darkening of the air from the burning of the mass amounts of gasoline. The sound of tanks ramming through barricades and various obstacles was faint but clear as to who it was.
At the speed of the sounds, it was fair to assume they might by the Krupp Boys Academy. Azusa needed to make an important decision. Stay and wait to see who it is, or run and leave it on a guess. If she was right on her guess, her life wouldn't be in danger, but if she was incorrect. The wrong tanks would go up against the enemy, and not being able to have an advantage would prove deadly, so many students would be slaughtered.
"Pull over to the side of the highway, and behind those trees and bushes. We will see who they are when they come down the highway" Azusa commanded.
"Roger that!" her entire crew replied back.
They went off the highway and rocking side to side as they went down the ditch, and then over to their spot. Although not nearly as tipsy as the Fv4005 Stage II, but the result of falling over was all the same.
Binoculars out, they all peered through various hatches to see what Academy was coming up this side of Japan. The mighty armor of Krupp, the tactile Shitenno Academy, or the hell-bent religious Christian School.
The roar of the war machine was getting closer, and still, its shadow was yet to be seen by the sun's place in the sky. It was the middle of summer, but there was no telling. Fighting in the summer was easy Maximum grip upon the earth, tanks were unaffected by temperature, and visibility was as clear as freshly cleaned glass. But in Winter it was another battlefield entirely.
A game of peek a boo with guns, or those brave enough to ride through it. Knowing the firepower they poses is enough to kill them all. Such an inhumane way to see it, then again, wasn't this all.
All mostly underaged students fighting each other brutally with the machine of war. One side on a mission they thought all so great, it takes what savory of human life they had form their hearts. The others were caught in their trap. Mercy was not shown, and it will never.
Their lives had barely begun, and now they were all put to the test if they could save it. That sparkling light, the only one in existence you call your own. It can die instantly without you knowing it. Worst of all, it could be taken by another light as it thought it would grow brighter because of it.
Erebus didn't have that light, all he had was onconsuming darkness. No light reflected off his tank, as the color black did.
He and Woden lead the charge of all the German tanks down the highway. They had just pillaged Fukuyama of its resources such as food, materials, and fuel.
All of their heavy tanks were in the back due to their slow speed, and the faster tanks were in front, clearing the way.
Azusa saw all of the tanks in front that consisted of many Panzer IVs, Panthers, Tiger 1s, and Lowes. In the front, she saw the demon of war and the demon of darkness. The black Lowe pierced the grey of the german tanks around it. Sucking your vision right to it.
