KABOOM!
A huge thunder was heard in the distance that sounded of an artillery gun that was mass size shooting as it rose above the billowing fire. The sound derailed the train of thought everyone had, but Scarred Vengeance kept on going backward while eyes remained wide open like a billionaire at an expensive car store. The thoughts arose of how powerful the shot really was, just like the rising smoke that now caked the sky an intoxicating black and white.
A gun of that size sounded like a railway gun, but japan in this part had no railroad tracks that were wide enough or strong enough to carry such weight. 'So what could it be?' The singular question with no answer flew high like the embers of the burning wooden structures.
The bullet sounded like it was coming down fast from the whizzing it made, piercing the air like a lightning-fast arrow.
KABOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!
In what seemed like a millisecond, the she'll came down in front of them, hitting the parking garage. The shock wave was instantaneous, flinging them back far and into the fire, along with huge pieces of earth and concrete tossed into the air and coming down hard. The parking garage was completely destroyed, wiped off the face of the earth. Ami Chono died instantly, disintegrated by the heat and force alone. Her tank followed suit, and the parts that somehow survived were flung god knows where. Not even the most toughest modern battle tank, couldn't have survived the shell head-on. The small to big buildings collapsed completely, there basements caving in, casting more dust and smoke into the air. The ground itself cracked like an ice lake in early spring. The fire which had once trapped them, had now blown out the flames except for a few small campfire sized located in building windows.
Nemesis and Kay's crew were knocked unconscious, except for Kay who had been cushioned from hitting herself by Nemesis. Her face was directly in Nemesis chest, and being dizzy as she was, felt like she was in her bed.
Her vision began to come back hazelly, but her mind and hearing was still a step behind. Only recognizing her surroundings, like a well aware infant waking from a nap."I'm sitting on a comfortable surface, and my head is on a large warm pillow" Kay thought after being almost knocked out for a minute."It's holding on to me... Wait" She now realized it was a very tall girl with large breasts holding on tightly to her."Its Nemesis. She must cushioned me from the shock wave that knocked out the rest" Getting Out of her grip was tough, Nemesis was quite strong, and although she was unconscious, her arms seemed to have a mind of its own as it stayed locked.
Hearing tanks outside that were most definitely from Krupp, she knew that this enjoyment couldn't last any longer, and slipped out of her grip. Kay knew what had to be done."I have to drive this tank" she thought quickly as she moved to the drivers seat, and yanked Adele from the position and moved her beside the radio women.
Getting into position, she turned the key to bring the engine to life... but nothing happened. Her feeling of the engine not coming to life was like the doctor from Frankenstein when his first attempt failed, and as so, she needed to find a new way to bring the beast to life. Crawling over, she noticed a few switches, gauges and knobs that read in both English and French at the top of panel "EMERGENCY STARTUP". First, she switched the gas on, and then began vigorously turning the start-up wheel as the black drawn arrows instructed.
A few puts came from the pistons, and then silence. The engine seemed to reuse to start up, wanting to die here while Kay being able to speak on behalf of the others, didn't want to end here in this ruined city.
Crack! CRACK! CRACK!
The skyscraper to the right of them was beginning its ritual of falling down. The remaining windows shattering, and the cracks unleashed the smoke from the fires within the weakened structure. This unleashed the adrenalin within that propelled Kay to turn it faster than a powered turntable.
