On the board the Bearn who rode the seas in a fluent and beautiful manner, there sat Nemesis upon the edge of her bed. A room that was apart of the commander's quarters that was connected to a medium-sized living room with a modern kitchen. In which also the girls who served under Nemesis had rooms that were connected also. As for Kay, she had volunteered to sleep with Nemesis so that Adele and Esme didn't have to share a bed, but they had told her not to worryingly quick. Furthermore, they were hesitant to disclose the proper reason why she should not. The closest Kay could get to an answer was that 'Nemesis has no rest', and 'visions in her sleep'.
It puzzled Kay as to why Nemesis has no rest. Her bed was wide and long to constipate for her height. Kay on her first day had felt the bed as she had run and jumped on. The blankets were a sea of comfort, and the pillows its warm soft shores with enough give to pressure your head to near perfection.
For visions, it was normal to have dreams, so more than others. As to what it was, it came back ot that unanswered question.
The rest of her bedroom consisted of her a closet that didn't have too many clothes in it to an average girl's amount. There was an attractive blue and black dress, a casual version of her battle uniform in which she wore outside of her tank. The casual had an open trench coat with sharp discrete ends to showcase its form. The last was a dress version of her casual uniform. This one had white sharp lines that went up the back, a white button-up shirt that held the majority of her medals, and on the side of her trench coat near her neck, there were ribbons held like banners.
The part Kay wanted to touch the most was the soft white gloves, with its blue lines that ran its course up to the end of her fingers.
The rest of her bedroom consisted of a normal dresser with pictures in frames of her, Adele, and Esme
She thought "how nice it would be to hold her hand whilst she wore this angelic outfit. Sure I wouldn't stand out as much as she would, but I don't want that as I want to go under her jacket dress, feeling warm and protected"
Kay blushed at this thought, but then questioned it like a criminal idea "I'm not afraid of coming out, but compared to the cold reality the Nemesis might not... be into girls is the hardest part"
It seemed in life for everyone including her, you overcame a small obstacle thought big, to then came across K2, and what might even be Mount Everest after. The way you climbed it depended on you, and you alone. An expensive fruit in a market.
'I got a great idea, for supper I will cook her a fantastic meal that includes wine in its ingredients, as judging from her lush supply of it' Kay thought to herself and acted on it.
Putting on a bib, washing her hands, she was ready to begin but had hit a brick wall instead.
She didn't know how to cook a delicious meal, let alone use wine in it. Completely dumbfounded and tied down by her skills, she needed people who cooked for and alongside Nemesis.
Adele and Esme walked in and then judged Kay based on how she looked ready to cook but really wasn't.
"We will cook, don't you worry" Adele declared while her and Esme came to Kay.
So she left this difficult task to the professionals who weren't just a driver and a gun operator, but great chefs instead, seeing as how confident they were in themselves. Sweet smells would enter the area soon, clouding the air in its fragrance.
"I wonder what Nemesis is doing" Kay queried with wonder as she slowly approached Nemesis bedroom door, a little scared as to why it was so quiet.
Nemesis could be asleep, doing her outfit quietly, or doing four hundred pushups in her bedroom with a low rhythm of respiration. None of those acts of bettering your self were in play.
