The Lost Mate

chapter 1

3rd person point of view

He sat watching her from his car two blocks away from her house, he had found her about two years ago ........HIS  MATE .

He thought he would never find her ,he  had waited so long ,so eager to finally meet her only for him to find out something that broke his heart and left him both hopeless and helpless .

Ian's POV

"You still going back there?" Derek my best friend asked ,"I don't get why you  just don't want to kidnap her like I suggested "

"No ,I want her to accept me willingly "I replied .
"You are the Alpha Ian ,you have to prove it "he retorted .

"No ",I bellowed and he quickly shut up .

I liked the effect I had on people ,all thanks to me being the alpha of the biggest pack in the world .

On a normal day I would have been delighted I was able to shut Derek up because believe me ,getting him to shut up is an achievement .

But right now I was really frustrated ,because my Wolf agreed to what Derek said and it was putting me on edge ,plus all the pressure which was being put on me by my father .

I would say I was not a big fan of my father, because he tends to get what he wants no matter what it takes to do so or  no  matter the number of lives which are lost, as long as he got what  he wanted .

"You know she has a family " I said this time sofly.

"So?, you know you can just kidnap her with her children right ,I'm not sure that would be a big problem at all,after all u have done it so many times so what is soo different about this ?" He asked .

"She is my mate ,and she is married ,easy for you to say since you already found your mate ,and luckily for you she was a werewolf as well ".
I  answered   irritated by the questions he was asking me .

"Heard anything from Emhel yet?" I asked .

"Yes he was last located in England" he answered.

I nodded ."Okay keep and eye on him and keep me updated "

"Sure" he replied.

Bethany's POV

"Kids breakfast is ready ,get down here else you are going to be late for school "

"Coming mum" Jace replied ,"Me too" said Sharlotte .

Jace was the first born he was almost  six years and Sharlotte was five .

A second later I heard storming down the stairs by no other than Jace and followed closely by Sharlotte who simply adored her brother even though they were almost the same age.

"Good morning mum " Jace greeted .

"How was your night?",he continued.

"Great "I replied looking  at him questionly expecting an explanation .

"Okayyyyy .......so I was just wondering

"What do you want Jace ?" I asked with an eye roll while sipping on my coffee .

" I wanted to know if I could have a friend over tonight for a sleepover?" He answered more like a question than a statement .

"Sure, why not ? Just don't make too much noise ok?  You know daddy doesn't like that "

"Why should I? " He asked frowning slightly." He is hardly home these days "

"He is still your dad "I said ,"now listen to what I say else you won't get to your sleepover".

"Yes please ,thank you soo much "  he said hurriedly and I laughed breaking the tension in the air.

"I love you soo much mum " he said excitedly.

"Love you too "I said chucking at how excited he sounded .

"It seems like you only love me when you need something from me " I said  glaring at him playfully while pouting.

"What about  me? "Sharlotte asked sadly .

"I love u more "  I told her .

She beamed with joy and I smiled at her and gave her a  peck on her cheek.

"Hurry up and let's go ,today I'll be dropping you off at school"

"Okay" they both replied .

minutes later ....

"I won't be able to pick you guys after school so come with the bus ok?"

"Byee,see you later mummy "Sharlotte said .

Jace just run off after saying a quick bye probably to let his friend know that he could come over

I waved for the last time and headed to the office .
About halfway you the office I received a call from  Michelle one of my best friends.

Michelle :Hello bae
Bethany : hey, what's up?
Michelle  :When will you be getting here ? Your coffee is already cold .

I face palmed . I forget to let her know that I'll be having breakfast at home .

Bethany: soo sorry I had to drop off the kids ,and also erhmm... I kinda had breakfast already .
Michelle :ohk then see you later. Bye.
Bethany: Alright bye , see you in five.

I said and ended the call and sighed.

All of a sudden that creepy feeling returned, I have been feeling like this for about two years now .A chill run up my spine

Almost like someone was watching me or following me .

I shook the feeling off and sighed once again. I  turned up the radio.

Perfect by Ed Sheeran blasted out of  the speakers .

I turned up the volume some more because it was one of my favourite songs and I sang along .

"We were just kids when we fell in love
Not knowing what it was
I will not give you up this time ,
Darling just kiss me slow your heart is all I own and in your eyes you're holding mine ,
Babyyy I'm ,dancing in the dark with you between my arms, barefoot on the ground while listening to our favourite song......" I sang along.

I closed my eyes for a brief moment as I stepped on the gas paddle just as the light turned red.I was still engrossed in the words of the song to notice what was headed for me .

If I had looked up or opened my eyes I would have seen it coming .....

Ian's POV

"Baby I'm dancing in the dark with you between my arms ......"

I heard from the car in front of me , I smiled to myself .
It was always one of her favourite songs .

....I  watched as her car jerked forward at the same time the light turned red .

The smile dropped from my face ,my eyes widened ,I felt frozen in place .

I couldn't move !

Why couldn't I move ! ,my mate was in danger and I couldn't move .

"Dammit " I say as I recover just in time ....
