summary - Harry and Simon stay over at Chris's house (inspired by that vlog from 2016 where him and Harry stayed with Chris to film)

Simon arrived at Chris's house to find Harry already curled up in the living room.

He was sat with his legs tucked into his chest and staring wide eyed at the TV, making him look younger and more innocent that Simon remembered him being. He wasn't a teenager anymore, although seeing him so happy made him seem like he was still the same 17 year old Simon first met all those years ago.

Perhaps it was also how comfortable he looked that took Simon by surprise. Turns out, he was simply a lot more at home when he was in the middle of nowhere. It wasn't the island where he had grown up, but Jersey was far closer to Guernsey than London.

It was the complete opposite to Hemel Hempstead however, where Simon had lived most of his life. To Harry and Chris, it was quite funny to watch Simon complain about the tractors and the cows and the mud. He was definitely unfamiliar with the Channel Islands.

Once Simon had unpacked, Chris had decided for some reason to force all of them to watch the scariest film he could find. Why he wanted to... neither Simon or Harry had any clue. But it was his house, so they didn't argue. Harry sat back down in his corner, and Chris slumped next to him before Simon had the chance to. He couldn't help but wish that he could sit next to Harry. If he got scared, well then he would have the perfect excuse to wrap an arm around him. But why did he want to touch Harry so badly?

Simon wasn't even sure he could put it in to words; Harry just did something to him, made him feel some indescribable type of way. He had never felt that way about anyone before, especially not a boy and not one of his best friends. He knew that if he was watching that movie with any of his other friends he wouldn't have been so desperate to comfort them. He definitely wouldn't have wanted to hug them when they got scared.

Simon couldn't help but steal glances at Harry throughout the movie. He was so entranced, and the glowing TV lit up his pretty face. It was hard for Simon to concentrate on the screen when all he could think about was Harry.

Eventually, it was over and Chris was standing up to go to bed. It dawned on Simon that tonight it would just be him and Harry, all alone on their shared mattress. Would it be creepy to watch him sleep? Probably.

That didn't mean Simon didn't want to though.

"Which side do you want?" Harry asked, interrupting Simons thoughts.

"I don't mind."

"I want the side nearest the radiator because it's cold." Harry laughed. "Clearly ChrisMD's videos haven't been doing so well since he apparently can't afford to pay for heating anymore."

"Its not that cold." Simon grinned and slid under the duvet.

"I'm freezing mate." Harry responded as he got in next to Simon.

They lay next to each other in silence for a bit. It wasn't quite as intimate as Simon had hoped since there was an awkward gap between them. However, neither of them wanted to be the one to move first. Neither of them wanted to change anything actually, because as awkward as the silence was, it was kind of nice to just enjoy each others company. They never did this, because there was always something to be doing instead, whether it was filming or working or doing anything to distract themselves, they never simply just enjoyed one another.

It was a shame really, because they loved each so much that they could spend much more time together. Technically they did spend a lot of time together, but it didn't count because it wasn't... authentic; they were always together to do something
