Summary - Simon being a good boyfriend and helping an anxious Harry
Harry wasn't sure when he became so aware of everything.
He was sure that just a second ago he couldn't hear how loud the traffic was outside. Or feel the label inside his t-shirt scratching the back of his neck. The background chatter that had seemed comforting only a few moments ago was too much now, and his colourful socks were too bright. He could hear everything but nothing at the same time.
When did breathing become so difficult? Harry tried to concentrate, focused on inhaling and then exhaling, inhaling and then exhaling. This was easier said than done however, and he could feel himself panicking more and more as he struggled to get enough oxygen in his lungs. His heart was thudding so loud that he couldn't hear anyone else, yet he sat as still as possible trying his hardest not to pass out.
Simon noticed something was wrong with Harry after calling his name to no response. He thought that Harry had simply zoned out, until noticing his trembling hands and unusually pale face. Simon sighed to himself and carefully walked over to Harry, doing his best not to alarm him. He bent down quietly next to Harry and took his shaking hands into his own.
"Do you wanna go outside?" He murmured, gently intertwining their fingers.
Harry simply nodded in response, still trying to steady his breathing. He let himself be lifted off the sofa and guided out in to the hallway. Simon shut the door behind him and then pulled Harry into his chest.
Everything about Simon was comforting to Harry, from his familiar scent to his soft voice. He closed his eyes and let himself be held, vaguely aware of Simon stroking his hair.
Simon couldn't help but smile to himself as he felt Harry relax in his arms. Although he would never ever admit it himself, most of the time Harry needed someone else to help him when he was anxious. He was just simply someone that would rarely talk about his own emotions, let alone ask for help with coping with them. However, Simon seemed to know Harry better than he knew himself a lot of the time.
"You feel better?" Simon asked after a few minutes of comfortable silence.
"Yeah" Harry replied.
