(Dabi is now 18, Izuku is 11, and Uraraka is 10)

{5 years later}

Tomorrow is Ochaco's birthday and I have so much planned. I'm gonna wait until she falls asleep to sneak into town. I've been saving up to get her a cake and a few more things. I'd ask big brother but he's not back yet. I know he can handle himself but I still worry about him.

Every time he comes home he's covered in more and more bruises. I don't mind healing him but I haven't been able to collect energy. If he gets another big injury it could kill me. I hear foot steps approaching and turn towards the door. Big brother walks in and he looks ok. My tail slaps against the ground loudly.

"Toya nii-Chan!" Ochaco hugs him.

"Your ok right? Why were you out so late?" I ask walking over to him.

He doesn't say anything and he looks conflicted.

"What's wrong?" Ochaco asks worried.

"Oni-Chan" I say slowly.

"I'm sorry" he mumbled.

"For what?" Ochaco asked.

Silence.

"What's going on?" I ask my ears flatten against my head.

He sighed, "I have to leave....and I probably won't be coming back."

"B-but you can't" Ochaco teared up.

I chuckled nervously, "Good try but that's not a funny joke"

"I'm serious zuzu" he said.

"What the fuck do you mean your not coming back" I growled at him as he grabbed his things.

"P-Please don't go" ochaco cried.

He finished stuffing his things in his bag and slung it over his shoulder. He walked over pulling us into a tight hug.

"I'm sorry but this is just something I have to do"

I pushed him off and he frowned before standing and walked towards the door.

"I love you both"

"Is it more important than us?" I asked quietly.

He paused but didn't say anything.

"If you walk out that door than don't even think about coming back" I growled at him.

"Happy birthday chacha" he mumbled then left.

Ochaco collapsed to the ground crying loudly. I wrapped my arms tightly around her. How could he just leave us like that? Does everything we've been through mean nothing? Whatever we don't need him I can take care of us.

We don't need someone who's just gonna turn their back on us. Ōkami emerges from my shadow wrapping around us. At least he'd never leave us. I laid down with Ochaco holding her closely. She clung to me tightly and I couldn't hold back my tears anymore. We cried silently until sleep consumed us both.
