Quinn's POV

"That is the last box which means that we are officially moved into our new apartment." Brenton groans putting the box down before falling onto our bed while I am finish unpacking the boxes.

"The boxes still need to be unpacked, and we are lucky that it was my idea to order the furniture ahead of time and store it in my dad's storage unit." Brenton stretches out on our new California king sized bed. "And thanks to my Marine brothers and myself most of the apartment us furnished." He says with a prideful smile on his face but of course I smile back but with a roll of my eyes playfully.

"You and the muscle brothers are responsible for the furniture meanwhile me and my friends have been responsible for unboxing all the boxes and making sure our home feels like a home." I joke finishing up and unpacking the last box as Brenton comes up behind me wrapping his arms around my waist.

"As long as we are together we will always be at home." He whispers into my ear and then kisses my head. "Listen to you Mr. Mushy." I say turning around in his arms. "Only with you." He smiles pulling over the bed as the two of lay down facing each other.

"Speaking of furniture, you're going to be home tomorrow since it is your day off right?" I ask getting comfy on the bed. "I have a couple of errands to run tomorrow but other than that I should be home." I smile at him running my finger along his bottom lip.

"Then you might want to call the muscle brothers because some more furniture which I think includes our sectional couch, the entertainment center that is going to take up a whole wall on its own in the living room, and the completely unnecessary 98 inch flat screen smart TV that you wanted should be arriving in the afternoon." Brenton nods his head as the two of us just lay there and stare into each other's eyes.

"You know that we never finished our talk from this morning." I slowly sit up and let out a small sigh. "I think that has more to do with the fact that we both got distracted breaking our new bed in." Brenton rolls onto his back placing his arms behind his head. "At least we don't have to worry about your dad freaking out anymore." Brenton chuckles as I lightly push him.

"No but now we have to worry about our neighbors complaining about us." Brenton waves the comment off but I can tell that the unfinished conversation is weighing heavily on his mind.

"You asked me if I was ready for kids." Brenton nods his head giving me his full attention. "I think we have been together long to know that we love each other, we live each other, and we both have jobs that could support a kid." I nod my head agreeing with all of that.

"I think that maybe starting a family of our own is the next step." I hold my left hand and point to my bare ring finger. "I think you are skipping a major step pale." Brenton takes my hand placing a kiss on my ring finger.

"One day I promise that I will put a ring on that finger." I pull my hand away then cross my arms. "I hope so because dating is nice but at some point I do want to get married Brenton." Brenton stands up and walks over and opens his dresser.

"I have something for you that you seemed to have forgotten about today." I tilt my head to the side as Brenton pulls out a small box before closing his dresser. "Today marks the two year anniversary of the day that we met." Brenton sits back down on the bed grabbing my hands and places the small box in them.

"I was wondering if you were going to remember." I smile at him before opening the small box to see his dog tags nestled inside. "You are giving me your dog tags again?" I ask trying not to sound disappointed by the meaningful gift but he kind of already gave me these.

"Sort of." He smiled before pulling them out of the box. "I don't get it." I say while Brenton unclasps the chain before asking me to turn around. "The two that were on here before were copies of mine that I had made just for you." Brenton clasps the necklace around my neck and I quickly turn around to face him.

"These ones that now hang around your neck are not copies but are in fact my real and original tags." I gasps gripping the tags tightly in my hand.

"You once asked me what does it mean when someone in the United States Armed Forces gives someone else their dog tags. The answer is kind of simple because these tags are essentially who we are while we are serving, and for me to give you those tags is my way of giving myself to you." I wipe the small tears that fill my eyes before placing a very passionate kiss on his lips.

"Brenton I don't know what to say but I also know that the gift I got you isn't anywhere near like this one." Brenton smiles using his thumb to wipe away the remaining tears.

"You already gave me the best gift I could ever ask for when two years ago you walked into the room while I got my vaccinations." I kiss his lips again as the two of us start making out. "I do have on request tonight." Brenton says while we are kissing then we pull apart.

"If it is what I thinking then after all of this neither one of is going to be right in the morning." Brenton laughs pulling me onto his lap. "Guess it is a good thing we both have tomorrow off." I nod my head running my hands up his shirt but for some reason Brenton pulls my hand away.

"there will be plenty of time for that tonight, but I also wanted to ask you if you would possible want to go on a date with me tonight." I see his cheeks turns red as he rubs the back of his neck.

"You are so cute." I say placing my hands on both his cheeks. "What kind of date did you have in mind?" I ask scooting on his lap. "I was thinking maybe a nice dinner at this great little place I know called 'Easy Grub Diner' and then after that I was thinking we could stop by 'Latte Day' Coffee Shop that way you can get a S'mores Frappuccino." I wrap my arms around his neck and stare into his eyes because the love that I feel from Brenton is the kind of love that I have ever felt from my dad and my brother which to me is a special kind of love.

"Sounds prefect babe." I say before getting off his lap heading towards the shower and to start getting ready for my date night with my boyfriend.
