Quinn's POV
Brenton and I walk into the bowling alley and right away I feel less nervous because I love bowling. "See, much more home friendly then last time." Brenton says behind me then wraps his arms around me as the two of us look around the alley. "Don't think that just because I love you that I am going to take it easy on you, I still plan on wiping the floor with you tonight." I say with a smile on my lips while Brenton on the other hand just rolls his eyes and chuckles.
"We shall see who wipes the floor with who at the end of the night." Brenton comments as the sound of his name being called catches our attention, and when I look in the direction of where his name was called I see four unfamiliar guys and only one unfamiliar girl, "Who are all those guys?" I ask looking away from the rowdy group and turn my attention to Brenton,
"Those would be my team brothers, but don't worry because they are all bark and no bite I promise, unless they are provoked." Brenton takes my hand before leading me over to these muscular and intimidating group of guys that all look to be in their twenties. "Hey Greywood, you finally made it!" Says one of the guys as him and Brenton do some kind of handshake.
The guy is little over 6 foot with dark brown hair and Hazel colored eyes. He is wearing an emerald studded earring in his right ear, odd but cool looking washed out demi colored tank top, pair of dark grey shorts, and bowling ball shoes on his feet. "This must be the girlfriend?" The guy asks and Brenton nods his head, "Quinn this is my friend Knox who is a weapons specialist, Knox this is my girlfriend Quinn." Knox takes my hand placing a kiss on it. "Pleasure." He says with a smile on his face while releasing my hand.
"That is Bay over there sitting at the computer." Brenton says pointing to the young man with brown hair and brown eyes who is wearing a small hooped earring in his left ear, dark green shirt, his dog tags around his neck, pair of army cargo pants, and bowling shoes on his feet that looks to be successfully flirting with the waitress. "He is our canine trainer and handler." I nod my head as Brenton points to two young men who look to be fighting or doing some kind of training.
One has dirty blonde hair and green eyes who is wearing a red tank top with no sides, his dog tags around his neck, dark blue sweatpants with the white strings hanging out, and bowling shoes on his feet.
The other man has dark blonde hair, blue eyes, and has what I call romantic book cover good looks. He is wearing earrings in both of his ears, plain white tank top, gold chain around his neck, dark washed out blue jeans with a white belt around the waist, and bowling shoes. "The dirty blonde haired one is Tide who is a pressure point/hand to hand combat expert, and the one with dark blonde hair is my buddy Cord who is the operation coordinator." I notice a young woman with beautiful dark brown hair sitting on the bench watching Tide and Cord do whatever they are doing.
She is wearing a white halter top, pair of almost white jeans with rips all over them, and a pair of bowling shoes. "That must be Erin?" I ask just when she seems to notices me then quickly gets off his lap and starts walking over towards me. "You must be Quinn." She says and I nod my head while the two of us shake hands. "I am Erin, I am Cord's girlfriend." I smile back at her and find myself staring into her hazel colored eyes.
"It is nice to have another girl in the club." I incline my head wondering just how many other girls there are in this club. "We all set to start?" Asks Bay as he finishes putting in all the names on the screen when all of sudden I see Brick and Penelope arrive, "Finally, I was starting to think that you bailed on bowling night." Brenton said doing the handshake with Brick who takes off his jacket and sling it over the back of the chair while Penelope walks over to Erin and me.
"Only three of the five us showed up tonight?" Penelope asks sitting down in the chair and starts to put on her bowling shoes. "It would appear that way." Erin comments sitting down in front of the computer. "Who are the other two?" I ask sitting down next to Penelope. "There is Kacey who is Knox's girlfriend and then there is Jessamyn who is the girlfriend of Ridge." I suddenly notice that Erin is typing our names on the computer screen,
"Are we going to play with the guys?" I ask confused as to why it would appear that we were in two different lanes instead of just one. "Believe me Quinn, you don't want to get mixed up in that lane." Penelope warns me while finishing putting on her shoes, "Why not? I personally wouldn't mind beating the pants off some Marines." Erin and Penelope start laughing,
"They can get really out of control, the last time we all went bowling it ended with Cord getting into a fight with Bay, and then all of us got kicked out." I look over at the group of guys who already seem to be getting over amped up with each other. "Us girls usually try to get a lane on the opposite side of the alley." Erin says finishing putting our names on the screen.
"That way we can't get into trouble when all hell breaks loose between the team." I sigh kind of understanding their point but I also feel very put off by the fact that girls seem scared of the guys. "Hey, do either of you know of someone named Mandi Hazelwood?" I ask and right as that name leaves my lips both Erin and Penelope look at each other with the same look of petrified fear. "Of course we know her Quinn, she is the head medic on the team." Penelope says before seeming to rush off to find a ball.
"Brenton never mentioned her?" Erin asks sitting down next to me and I shake my head. "Before this week I never personally met anyone from Brenton's Marine life." Erin's eyes quickly flash of sympathy but it leaves just as fast as it appeared. "LETS BOWL!" Yells Brick as the guys start their game and us girls start our game.
