Quinn's POV

All of us are gathered in the room but instead of surrounding him like the rest of my family is I choose to sit on the edge of the couch with Brenton just watching my dad who is sitting up but is still in rough shape talk with everyone.

"George Isaac Callahan, don't you ever scare me like this again." Etta says hitting my dad on the head with a rolled up newspaper like a dog but a second later she gives him a huge hug. "No parent should have to bury their child." Etta uttered pulling out of the hug and my dad just sighs. "Mom, it is not like I planned for this to happen." He says looking down at the bandages before looking back at Etta.

"But all of you heard the doctor that I should be okay to go home tomorrow." Hearing the doctor say that lifted most of the heaviness off of me. "You don't know how lucky you are George, the doctor said that if that bullet was only a few inches to right that it would hit your heart." Uncle Caspian who is standing behind Etta says then places his hand on her shoulder.

"When I got that call dad, it was like getting that call about mom all over again." Jared says and even with his back to me I can hear the emotion in his voice. "I am sorry that scared everyone, but you heard the doctor when he said that with time, care, and therapy that I should make a full recovery in a couple of months." My dad looks at everyone with his eyes finally landing on me.

"Pup? You're very quiet over there." I just smile the best I can at him not wanting him to know just how I was feeling right now. "It has been a long couple of days dad." I know my dad sees through me and the smile on my face, but he chooses not to address it and instead simply nods his head.

"Then I think it is for the best that everyone go home and get some sleep, the nurses and other staff members are more than capable of taking care of me." Suddenly the door to the room flies open and all I see is a blur of blonde hair and a purse hit the ground.

"Thank the heavens that you are alright. I would have kicked your ass if you didn't pull through." The young woman with blonde hair and grey eyes says hugging my dad who groans in pain. The young woman is wearing an oversized opened demi jacket, white sports bra, a charm necklace around her neck, her wedding ring on her left hand, light blue pair of jeans, and high heels on her feet.

"You're hurting me little sister." My dad says as she lets him go. The young woman is my Aunt Penny who is youngest of the three Callahan children. "I dropped everything the second I got the call from mom, and I would have been here a lot sooner if I would have been driving." Aunt Penny says with a roll her eyes.

"If I would have let you drive, we wouldn't have never made it here without you causing a multiple car pileup." Says my Aunt Penny's boyish good looking husband Tevin as he walks into the room wearing a washed out pink shirt, nice looking watch on right wrist, his wedding ring on left hand, pair of grey jeans, and white sneakers on his feet.

"It is nice to see everyone, but of course not under these circumstances." Uncle Tevin says putting his hands in the pockets of his jeans.

Uncle Tevin is a famous musician with dark brown with blonde highlights and has two different colored eyes with his right eyes being blue and his left eyes being green which is said to be rare.

After about an hour Aunt Penny and Uncle Tevin finally greet everyone and are now catching up with us. "Aunt Penny, How is the farm?" I ask as Aunt Penny sits down on the couch next to me.

"It is awesome and all the animals are doing great. Our horse Pegasus just had a baby and Tevin and I just adopted the most adorable little Siberian Husky that you have ever seen." Aunt Penny pulls out her phone showing me pictures of the farm and of course the Husky that I already have fallen in love with. "Boy or girl?" I ask while Aunt Penny shows me more pictures of the Husky.

"It is a boy who your Uncle has named Milo." I can't help but giggle a little bit before Aunt Penny starts showing me pictures of her time in Paris, London, Rome, Prague, Amsterdam, Swiss Alps, Ireland, and a dozen more places in Europe. "That looks like an absolutely beautiful vacation Aunt Penny." She sighs looking like she is thinking back to her trip.

"It was like one fairytale adventure after another Quinn. So much to learn and do that you can't possible do everything." She laughs turning her phone off. "How is Uncle Tevin? Did this interfere at all with his tour?" Aunt Penny puts her phone back into her purse before slightly inclining her head.

"Rather he was on tour or not he would be here, but as it so happens he actually just finished up his tour last week." Brenton comes over and sits down on the arm of couch. "It is hard when he is on the road, and it takes its toll on both of us." I grab Brenton's hand lacing our fingers together. "I know the feeling all too well." I look up at Brenton who simply leans over and places a kiss on my head.

"We should get going Marshmallow." I look up with eyebrows knitted together and a confused look on my face. "What do you mean get going? I can't leave while my dad is in the hospital." I say rather pissed off. "Is that your way of standing me up tonight?" My confusion increases while I quickly try to cover up the fact that if we did indeed have plans tonight it had completely slipped my mind.
