Sophie had been sleeping outside by Calla's panakes tree when she got a call. It was Keefe and when she answered it seemed like he had been crying.
His face was tearstained and she could notice the slight hiccup to his words. He had seemed pretty shaken up.
She didn't asked what happened, just told him to come over. She texted Fitz, inviting him, figuring that Keefe probably wanted him there too.
They had both arrived at almost the same time, making their way towards Sophie and sitting in the makeshift bed with her.
Keefe had settled between Fitz and her. They wrapped him in a blanket, pulling him into a hug afterwards.
He snuggled into their arms, sniffling softly. Fitz whispered sweet nothings into his ear while Sophie drew circles on his back in a comforting manner.
The trio laid back against the pillows, holding each other closely.
After a few minutes of silence Sophie had thought Keefe had fallen asleep until he spoke up.
"I had a nightmare. My mom was there. She... She-" Fitz ran his fingers through his hair, placing a soft kiss on his temple.
Keefe took a deep breath before continuing. "She made me hurt you guys and-and-I-"
"Keefe," Sophie whispered, wiping his tears. "It's okay. It's not real, we're right here. Breathe."
Keefe took another deep breath, closing his eyes. Sophie and Fitz did their best to comfort their boyfriend, telling him how much they loved him, reassuring him that it wasn't real.
The three fell asleep soon after Keefe finished crying, Calla's soothing song bringing them peace.
