Sophie glanced across the classroom, eyes landing on the beautiful brunette sat towards the front. The brunette, Biana, had been twirling a strand of hair around her finger, staring out the window to her right.
To say Sophie was entranced would be an understatement. Biana was gorgeous. She had long, silky brown hair and big blue eyes, a color so bright they almost looked fake.
She was stunning, to say the least, and it was hard not to notice her. She carried herself with a confidence that Sophie could only dream of having. Always carrying her head high, never doubting herself.
Everything Biana did caught Sophie's eye, so, today was the day Sophie decided she would talk to her. She had been bulding up the confidence to talk to her over the past month.
Sophie anxiously waited for the bell to ring, rehearsing what she would say over and over in her head.
A sharp ring snapped Sophie out of her thoughts and she stood abruptly. She grabbed her bag off the floor and walked over to Biana's seat, resisting the urge to pull at her lashes.
"H-hi," Sophie stuttered.
Biana looked up from her seat, eyes connecting with Sophie's. He lips curled up into a smile, her teal eyes softening.
"Hi," Biana said, voice smooth like honey.
Sophie's mouth gaped as all words left her. She had never been this close to Biana, let alone spoke to her.
Biana giggled, standing up from her seat. "Sophie, right?" She asked as she started putting her books in her bag.
Sophie snapped her mouth shut, astonished that Biana had bothered to remember her name. "Oh! Um, yeah! N-nice to meet you!"
Sophie cursed herself for stuttering. A blush settled across her face as she let the embarrassment set in.
"I'm Biana. It's nice to meet you." Biana smiled so bright Sophie had to restrain from squinting.
"Yeah, nice to meet you..." Sophie trailed off, looking down at her hands, attempting to think of something, anything to say.
"Well," Sophie looked up when Biana spoke. "I'm going to go to lunch. Do you maybe wanna join me?" Biana asked.
Sophie's heart leapt from her chest at the thought of eating lunch with the gorgeous girl standing before her.
She nodded her head eagerly, a huge smile spreading across her features.
Biana turned and Sophie could have sworn she saw a light blush spread across her face. She decided to shrug it off and walk to the cafeteria with Biana.
Sophie was ecstatic that she managed to talk to Biana. Never in a million years would she have thought she would be eating lunch with her.
Sophie could only hope that one day she could be friends, maybe even something more with Biana.
