Wooyoung's POV:

When I got home, I looked for Hongjoong. He sat there watching Mingi and Jongho playing video games as the two argued about who was going to win. "Hongjoong, can I talk to you real quick?" He nodded. We walked over to the kitchen. "How's Y/n?" He asked. I nodded, "She's doing okay. A lot on her mind." Hongjoong tilted his head. "What do you mean?" He asked. "Well, in short, she is feeling scared around Johnny." Hongjoong seemed like he wasn't surprised. "She had questions about how she felt about Johnny, but I didn't know how to answer. You're the best person to go to for that. I told her that she should talk to you." I said. His brows furrowed in thought. "Wooyoung, I don't know." He sighed. "I get it. But keep in mind that she wants to see all of us again." Hongjoong nodded, "Even if she does want to see us again, with Johnny's hands on her, I can't get in the way, not if I want to keep the peace."

"What peace?" I asked. He tilted his head, trying to come up with an answer. "There's no peace Hongjoong, it's just a little less intense right now." He nodded. "You're right, but I'm afraid of what Johnny will do if he finds out we are not only talking to her but have her at our house."

He was right. It was asking for trouble.

San came into the kitchen. Hongjoong and I froze, but he hadn't heard anything, not yet anyway. He grabbed a glass before looking over at us. "What are you up to now." He sighed, setting the glass on the counter. "What do you mean? We were only talking." San nodded, "That's why you went silent as soon as I entered the room? You guys are hiding something." Hongjoong sighed as I looked away, taking a sip from my drink. Hongjoong turned to him. "Y/n wants to come over." I choked on my water, "So much for keeping it a secret!" Hongjoong threw up his hands, "He already knew we were up to something! There was no point in hiding it!"

"Wait a second, Y/n wants to come over?" Hongjoong looked at him and nodded. "Why?" He asked. Hongjoong looked at me, signaling for me to explain. "Y/n is having problems with Johnny, as we all expected would happen." San looked confused, "Okay, what does that have to do with us?"

"She and I have been talking, so I'm going to guess she wants to see us because we are the only people she's comfortable talking to," I explained.

"She doesn't talk to anyone but Johnny. She doesn't feel comfortable talking to anyone but him, and yet for some reason, she is comfortable sneaking around to speak with Wooyoung now and then." Hongjoong said. "I think it's cause she knows we aren't going to let anything happen to her."

San looked at me and chuckled. "The last time she was with us, we practically kidnapped her. Why would she feel safe around us?"

"Think about this, if Johnny was as strict about Y/n's communications with Riley as he is on her communications with us, and he found out she was talking to her anyway, Riley wouldn't be able to save her from that situation. There are eight of us, and one of him. She knows that if shit were to hit the fan, we would be right there to help her. She knows we have a soft spot. She's safe here; she's aware of that. She wants to be here with us because she doesn't feel safe anywhere else anymore." I explained. "If that's the case, then she can come over here all she wants."

San scoffed, "Were you just gonna keep this from everyone?" Hongjoong and I both nodded. "Until we knew what exactly the situation was, yes. We were going to keep it from you." San looked like he wanted to protest but couldn't find anything to say.

"So she can come over?" I asked. Hongjoong thought it over again for a quick moment and nodded. "Yes, but we need to be careful. I don't want to make her at home situation any worse than it is. Let's tell the others." We all walked over to the living space.
