I laid there for a while, cuddled up in my blankets. Sleep soon took over.
I woke up to a knock on my door. I swallowed, sitting up slowly. The idea of opening the door to Johnny on the other side, for some reason, made me feel sick to my stomach. I stood up, my legs shaky and weak. Another knock sounded; it felt like it shook the house. I walked over, gripping the knob in my trembling hands. I shut my eyes, taking a breath before opening the door quickly. I was relieved to find Wooyoung was the one knocking. I sighed and leaned on the door frame to catch my balance; my head was spinning.
"Woah, Y/n, are you okay?" He put a hand on my shoulder. "Yeah, sorry. You just scared me," I replied. He chuckled, "How? I only knocked twice." I shook my head, "I just thought you were someone else. Come in." He smiled before stepping in. I got us both water as he took a seat on the couch. "I wanted to talk." He stated. I nodded, "I figured."
I brought the water over, setting it on the table before taking a seat across from him. He took a sip before continuing. "Ateez doesn't feel like talking to you at the moment, which I'm sure you know why." I nodded. "However, I am not a fan of this whole 'not talking to you' thing." I set down my drink before speaking. "And, you're here because?"
"Because I still want to talk to you." I thought for a moment, "Ateez isn't upset by this?" He shook his head, "Ateez doesn't know." I nodded. "So, now what?" I asked. "Now, I need you to talk to me." My brows furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"I mean, I want you to tell me why you flaked." I swallowed; how would I answer this? "Don't think about it too hard. Just talk to me, Y/n." I nodded. "Johnny, he told me to avoid you guys to stay safe." He nodded. "Did he convince you that we were the bad guys?" I shrugged. "He told me that you might use me to get to him." He sighed. "Well, that would be a good reason to avoid us, wouldn't it?" I shifted nervously.
"That may very well be Johnny's fear. But I can promise you that Ateez has had zero conversation about using you against NCT." I let out a sigh of relief. "And I mean that Y/n, you don't need to worry. You don't need to tell Johnny I told you this, though." I huffed a laugh. "Obviously." He took another sip of his water. There was another knock on the door. "Y/n! Open the door!"
My breath hitched; it was Johnny this time. Wooyoung looked just as startled. I quickly grabbed him and led him to the closet. He hid in there quietly as I opened the door for Johnny. He stormed in, clearly enraged. "Why the hell are you here?" He yelled. I looked down at my feet as I answered. "As I said, I needed time to myself."
He shook his head in disappointment. "C'mon, we're going home." He said, grabbing my wrist and pulling me towards the door. "Stop! Gosh, what is it with you and grabbing my wrist?" He spun around, glaring me down. "We're going home." He repeated in a more stern tone. I refused. "You need to leave! You can pick me up when you're less pissy!" He grumbled before stomping off, slamming the door behind him.
"Wooyoung, you can come out now," I sighed. He opened the door slowly, peeking from behind it before fully coming out. I ran my fingers through my hair, trying to calm myself down. Wooyoung walked over to me. "Are you okay?" He asked. I shrugged. "I just don't know how to deal with him when he's angry." He could hear the slight panic in my voice. He pulled me into a tight hug; I didn't hesitate to hug him back. "It'll be okay." He hummed. His phone buzzed. Wooyoung pulled it from his pocket and sighed. "It's Hongjoong. He wants me home now." I tilted my head. "He knows you're here?" He shook his head. "No, of course not. I just told him I was going out with a friend." I nodded. "Okay, well, thanks for stopping by." I smiled. He smiled back at me. "Text me if you need anything." And with that, he left. It was nice to have some peaceful and encouraging company.
A couple of hours had passed. I heard a honk outside my window. I got up and moved my blinds so I could see who it was. Johnny. I stepped outside and headed over to him. "Are you done with your fit?" I asked. He pouted a bit, but nodded. "I'm sorry Y/n, I shouldn't have lost it on you like that. You miss the relationship you and Ateez held. I understand that now. I just want you to be careful." I nodded. He smiled for a quick second, "You forgive me?" He gently pulled me closer to him. I wrapped my arms around his neck, "I'll think about it." I teased. We both laughed. He leaned down and kissed me.
