4: And so it Begins

'CRASH'

Sabre woke up panicked. Again...

That was Lightning wasn't it!? What if It's Void? Is he attacking the Rainbow Hub!? Sabre frantically got out of bed and ran to the front door of the house, opening it quickly and sprinting into the main part of the hub, and yelps in fear as lightning is struck barely two blocks away from him, feeling the electricity it gave off and the sound almost making him deaf. He looks up expecting to see Void or darkness but...

It's Rainbow and Elemental Steve training their abilities with each other.. Are you kidding me!? They could seriously hurt someone out here! "What are you two doing!?" Sabre yelled at them, clearly upset at them. *cough* mombre *cough* "um, training?" Elemental stated in an obvious tone to sabre, while Rainbow looked at Sabre confused, as he normally was very calm. "Well don't do it here! You could hurt someone! You nearly struck me with lightning!" Sabre yelled up to them again, to which Rainbow replied with a guilt 'Sorry!' and Elemental mumbled sarcastically under his breath. Rainbow perked up and looked towards Elemental. "Hey, why don't we train at the training ground Light made to train me to use my powers?", Rainbow suggested.

"... sure..." Elemental replied, not actually knowing what Rainbow was talking about. To this, Rainbow smiled, flew up to Elemental and grabbed his arm, teleporting them there while in mid-flight, which concerned Sabre on how precarious that could be. He let out a stressed sigh, and started going towards the forest, hoping the calmness of the forest would help, only to stop when he heard Time, who had been watching worried from his and Elementals house, yell out to him, "Hey, Sabre, uh- where are you going?". Sabre turned around to face Time who was running up to him. Sabre smiled, "I was gonna go walk through the forest. It helps calm me, you wanna join me?". Time slowed to a walk and came up beside Sabre, "sure", Time replied.

"Er- where are we going?" Time questioned as Sabre dragged him through the forest.

"you'll see", He replied, leading Time to one of his favourite places to go in the forest. Soon they came across a clearing with a beautiful. Sabre let go of Time as they stepped closer to the lake, gawking at it and its surroundings. The lake was crystal clear, and you could see the sea grass waving in the current and fish swimming around. You could catch glimpses of bird flying through the tree's surrounding the lake as well as hear their songs every so often. Time spun back around to face Sabre, obviously excited, "How'd you even know this place is here? It's beautiful!". Sabre chuckled and walked up beside Time to look over the lake.

"Well, I do tend to walk around the forest often. I just kinda came across it one day, after that I came here whenever I needed to calm down or sort out my thoughts..". Time Steve stayed silent and turned his head back to the view. After a few seconds Sabre walked down to the shore and sat down, Time quickly following in suit. They then sat there, just looking out at the view and thinking, a comfortable silence engulfing them. "I'm.. sorry, for my brothers' actions earlier. He doesn't tend to be very careful, and can be quite a handful," Time spoke to Sabre in a slightly guilty tone, breaking the silence. Sabre turned to Time, slightly surprised, "There's no need to be sorry! To be honest, Rainbow can be the same sometimes. He can be quite a goof when we're not in imminent danger!". Sabre chuckled a bit at the end, remembering how Rainbow Steve had made a whole creeper statue outside the Orange Steve Village. He was even more energetic than the Rainbow from Steve Saga. Time Steve seemed to relax a bit after that, "Good to hear," he quietly replied, and turned back to look over the view of the lake, Sabre doing the same.

It had been a few hours since Time and Sabre had gotten to the lake, every so often saying things to each other, but other than that they had just been enjoying the peace and quiet. Sabre looked up to see the Sun was starting its decent down to the horizon. "I think it's time we go back to the Rainbow Hub," Sabre stated, slowly standing up. To this, Time looked to the sky and noticed the same thing sabre had, and started to stand up as well. They were about to start heading back to the Rainbow Hub until they heard rustling in bushes the direction they were about to head, the sound obviously being made by something bigger than a bird or common animal. They stood there for a few moments waiting for something to jump out at them, only to see Elemental Steve run out of the bushes out of breath. "Elemental! What are you doing here?" Time said, slightly concerned on why his brother ran all the way out here, and wondering how he even found them.

"Thank goodness I found you!", Elemental exclaimed between breaths.

"Elemental.. what happened?.." Sabre said, getting the hint that something was wrong. Elemental looked up at them.

"The violet portal activated."
