"You've got to be joking me...", Rainbow muttered sourly under his breath. They had been just about to visit the green steves to see if they could help with Sabres wound, only for the green portal to activate, meaning that the green steves were in danger. Sabre heard Elemental swear under his breath, to which Time and Sabre simultaneously glared at him while Rainbow looked at them slightly confused. Sabre then sighed and looked around at the others, Orange Leader, Rainbow, Blue, Time and Elemental steve. He wanted to ask everyone to go in together, but he knew he had to ask some of them to stay behind in the Hub to make sure no darkness decided to attack while they were helping the Green Steves.

"Blue Steve, Orange Leader, Time, you stay here and make sure that the Hub isn't attacked, and no other portals activate, everyone else, come with me", Sabre ordered as he started to go towards the Green Portal. The Orange leader stood where he was and watched them walk towards possible donger, fear clear on his face, mostly directed to the colourful Steve that was walking nervously next to Sabre. Elemental glanced at his brother, as if to ask for permission, to which Time nodded. Elemental seemed to get excited at the thought of getting to fight some darkness, and in response Time silently prayed that his brother would behave in this sort of situation.

"Wait Sabre! What about your' arm?", Blue steve called running up to him. Sabre finally looked back then down to his arm, wincing as the pain returned once remembering it.

"It'll be fine, we don't have any time anyway", Sabre hurriedly replied, gaining a concerned loom from both Blue steve and Rainbow who now stood next to him. At that moment, Elemental finally walked up to them,

"Can we go already? I'm ready to kick some darkness butt!", Elemental said coolly, gaining a bewildered look from Rainbow who gawked at the thought of someone enjoying fighting the darkness, and an irritated look from Blue and Sabre. Blue then sighed and looked back up to Sabre, a determined look on his face.

"Fine, but if that wound opens you come right back, got it?" Blue told Sabre, waiting for his reply. Sabre stood there looking at Blue steve with a blank look, though no-one could tell since he wore the blindfold. He didn't want to leave Rainbow and Elemental to fight the darkness alone no matter what, but he knew Blue wouldn't let him leave unless he promised to his terms. Sabre slumped in defeat and muttered his promised, Blue steve relaxing and giving a faint smile in return.

"Good, now be safe," Blue steve said to them, continuing to watch them as they started to walk towards the green portal again. They stopped again directly in front of the green portal, looking up at it in dread for what wait for them on the other side, even Elemental looking slightly nervous. Sabre then looked towards his friends, putting up a determined smile.

"Let's do this", he said in the most confident voice he could manage at that moment. Rainbow and Elemental Steve looked at him, then put on their own brave faces as they smiled and nodded towards him. Sabre gave them one last confirmational look before stepping into the green portal and being enveloped by the green swirls and nausea as the portal brought him to the Green steves' settlement.

The moment the green particles around them dispersed they saw darkness infecting and plant life around the river where they were brought to. They stood frozen in shock as they saw half infected animals wailing and running from the pinnacle of the madness. The Green Village. There was darkness everywhere, and the few Green steves they could see were already too far gone to the darkness. Forgetting about the wound on his arm, Sabre shuddered and looked away from the distruction and to his friends. He and Rainbow on the Steve Saga had gone through many hard situations together, and had got through and overcome all of them together. That was until.. Void. Sabre just hoped that history wouldn't repeat itself. Sabre looked at Rainbow, seeing an absolutely terrified look on his face. Sabre gave him an encouraging smile even though Rainbow wasn't looking at him, then Sabre looked towards Elemental and felt anger start to boil inside him when Elemental looked more impressed and intrigued then scared. Sabre then let the anger seep out of him, knowing Elemental hadn't been through as many dark events as he had and brought his mind to the task at hand.

"Let's go, th-there may still be some people left..", Sabre quietly said to them, cursing himself for stuttering. The two steves with Sabre looked to him and nodded, Rainbow anxiously and Elemental enthusiastically. They walked toward the Green steve Village, dodging the patches and slithers of darkness encasing the surrounding land. Once they made it the dock, they had to dodge and evade the infected green steves, Rainbow looking increasingly guilty while doing so for not being able to do anything to help them, and Elemental slightly annoyed that he couldn't just fight them. While climbing the stairs to the Green Leaders home, Sabre noticed movement in the corner of his eye and spun around to see two Green steves, neither infected. Sabre smiled softly and slowly walked up to them, his arm aching as he lifted his hands to show he was unarmed. Both of them backed up slightly and looked at him suspiciously.

"Hey, it's ok, we're here to help", Sabre assured them, to which they seemed to relax a bit and look at Sabre and the two steves accompanying him, brightening up more as they noticed the prophesised hero.

"Do you know where the green leader is?", Sabre questioned them, wanting to get confirmation that they were going to the right place to look for him. They glanced at each other, then one of them stepped forward a bit, his forest green eyes glowing with determination at the thought of helping his leader.

"He was in his house, we were on our way to him, but we couldn't get past the darkness and had to hide", The Green steve shrunk a bit at the end, seeming ashamed almost of not being able to get to his leader. Sabre nodded and looked towards Rainbow steve.

"Rainbow, can you take them to where we need to be to teleport so that we can get them out safely?", Sabre asked. The colourful steve looked to him seeming surprised and then nodded, a determined glow in his eyes. Sabre smiled as he watched the colourful steve escort the two forest coloured steves back to where they had come from, then looked to Elemental steve, who had been watching curiously.

"Come with me. We need to try and save the green leader", Sabre told him, the steve immediately looked at him and brightening up at the thought of the challenge. Sabre without waiting for any sort of comment began to walk up the stairs again, not glancing back to see if the young steve was following him. He didn't have to, as he could tell by the lightning striking any darkness ahead of them. They soon made it up to the Green Leaders' house, Elemental quickly destroying the darkness that was surrounding the house. Sabre then gave Elemental a steady look, who nodded in anticipation for Sabre to open the door. Sabre nodded in reply, slightly tired of the steves excitement for fighting and destroying things. He then put his hand on the door and swung it open, and immediately froze upon what he saw.

"Void steve!?".

Someone tell me how many times I wrote 'nodded' in this chapter :/

Also, Fun Fact: The previous chapter, this chapter and the NEXT chapter were supposed to be one chapter. I swear if I have to split the next one as well-

(also sorry for the long wait :/)

I just realised this whole chapter originated from 1 sentence-
