Time and Sabre quickly followed a panicked Elemental Steve back to the Rainbow Hub, passing trees and creatures, their surroundings calm in the tense situation. Sabre was quickly coming to regret bringing him and Time so far away, as it still took several minutes for them to get back even when running there. As soon as they got past the trees and stepped into the Rainbow hub, they saw a very worried Rainbow Steve pacing back and forth in front of the Violet portal. As they got closer, Rainbow Steve looked up and saw them, and seemed to sigh in relief as he started to slowly walk up to them to meet them almost halfway, but still close to the portal. "Thank goodness you guys are back. I was getting worried I'd have to go in alone...", Rainbow said to them once close enough, glancing back at the Violet portal looking quite concerned.

"Apologies, we were quite far into the forest,", Time Steve replied, trying somewhat to calm Rainbow Steve nerves, which didn't work too well. For a few moments they looked at each other and then the Violet portal in complete silence until Elemental broke it,

"shouldn't we go in?..". It wasn't entirely a question, more of a reminder that they had to at least do something, as there had to be something wrong for the portal to activate. Everyone glanced at each other nervously until Sabre nodded and started to walk towards the portal, everyone else quickly following behind.

"I really hope they weren't attacked by the darkness.." Rainbow whispered. In response, Sabre glanced back and gave Rainbow Steve a reassuring glance, which seemed to help a bit. They continued forward and were soon enveloped in swirls of violet.

Screams and yelling were the first things they heard as they stepped through the portal, and the first thing they saw was darkness everywhere, some even holding weapons, attacking and infecting any violet steves that they found. The group of heroes stood there for a few stunned seconds, until they got there bearings and started to help where they could. Sabre pulled out a sword that he was given and the steves used their abilities to fend off the darkness around them. While running through the village to try and find as many none infected Violet steve as possible, Sabre stumbled across a pilar of what seemed to be pure darkness. He looked up and saw a figure at the top of it. They wore a dark grey cloak that hid their facial features, making it impossible to figure out who was under it. They seemed to be directing where the darkness went. The others of the group quickly came around after noticing the pilar, which is also when the figure on top of it took notice of their presence. The figure looked down at them while the heroes looked back at them with defiant looks. The figure slowly rose their hand and a large majority of the darkness came after them, giving the Violet steves a better chance at getting away. "Elemental! I want you to gather up the remaining Violet Steve and bring them to the centre of the village so that we'll be able to teleport them out!" Sabre instructed, in which Elemental gave a sharp nod and quickly started going towards the closest Violet Steves he could see. At that, the group started to fight off the darkness that had now circled around them, while the figure stood on top of the pilar, silently watching.

There were only a few darkness left now, each of the heroes fighting two or three, all of them holding up well. Sabre slashed at a darkness in front of him and got ready for another one lumbering towards him, but while doing so didn't notice one sneaking up behind him until it was too late. As sabre saw it in the corner of his eye and swung around. The blade the darkness was holding ended up going across his arm instead of his back. Sabre yelped at the sudden pain and dropped his sword. He quickly ducked down and rolled out of the way before it got the chance to strike again at him, quickly grabbing the sword with his none-dominant hand instead. He quickly slashed down the darkness that had attacked him, as well as the one which he had been focusing on before, albeit a bit shakily. Once done he dropped the sword again and grasped at the injury on his right arm, grunting in pain.
