Rays of light shone through the window of Sabre's room as he laid there, already awake. The darkness bird he had called Nova was sitting on their shelf again, beak still tucked under their wing. He wasn't sure why he called it Nova, guess it was just the first thing that came to mind. All he knew is that it was one of the first creatures he met.

He groaned as the light caught his eye, not wanting to get out of the bed yet despite already having been awake for a while. He had had that same dream about the crystal again, waking him up practically in the middle of the night. Not being bothered to try and fall asleep again, he just sat there thinking. Thinking about what had happened the day before. Elemental got infected, and by what he saw it was spreading unusually quickly. Probably because there was more power for it to sap off of. Poor Time. It seemed like he regretted not coming with them to the fight. It wasn't his fault though, none of them would have known Elemental was going to get infected. After the events yesterday, Sabre just went to his and Rainbow's home. It was already the end of the day, and there wasn't anything that could be done.

A loud squawk broke him out of his thoughts as the darkness bird had woken up and swooped to the closed window, pecking at it then looking back at Sabre expectantly. He let out a sigh as he finally pushed himself out of the bed, going to open the window for this apparently vary needy bird. He gave them a little scritch on their head, getting a quiet coo in response before they flew off. He smiled at the retreating figure. At least that hadn't changed. His stomach growled as he remembered he hadn't had anything to eat for dinner yesterday.

'Might as well go make breakfast for me and Rainbow, nothing else to really do at the moment', he went to change out of the chicken hoodie that he was wearing at the moment to something better suited. He only wore it at night now since it wasn't in the best condition to be worn on the usual, like he did in the Steve Saga. Choosing against the space suit he had been wearing since coming here, as the helmet could sometimes get a little bulky, he looked at what else he had, eventually finding a green hoodie, some brown trousers and dark brown combat boots. Those should do. Better suited for moving around anyway.

He made his way down the stairs of the house Rainbow had made for them, passing said steves room on the way, who was still asleep. He got to the kitchen and went through the cupboards and draws, looking for something they could eat. They should probably go and get more food soon, there wasn't much left. Eventually he found some pumpkin pie left over, probably one of Elemental's many stashes he had hidden around the Hub. Guess that will do, even if it's a little sweet for the morning. As he was getting them ready, he heard footsteps coming down the stairs and looked up to find his colourful friend coming down, wearing a tired expression on his face as he rubbed the sleep out of his eyes.

"Hey Rainbow", he called to them as they made it to the bottom of the steps.

"Morning Sabre", they replied groggily, coming over to the table as Sabre came over and set down a plate with a slice of pie for him. He looked down at what he was given and looked back at Sabre confused.

"Why are we having pumpkin pie for breakfast?", Sabre looked at him and shrugged, so Rainbow just excepted it and started eating it, Sabre joining him. They sat there in silence for a little before Rainbow asked, "Hey Sabre, where's Time and Elemental? Aren't they usually here?". Oh no. What was he supposed to respond with? If he told Rainbow steve what really happened, he might blame himself for not being there to help, and that could make things worse after they got so far with Rainbow getting better after what happened.

"Uhm... They've uh... gone to take a break...", Sabre replied awkwardly, hoping that it was convincing enough.

"Oh... well, where did they go?". Ok. Seems like he believes it.
