The sun was already above the horizon by the time Sabre woke up.

He hadn't noticed he had fallen asleep last night, and quickly opened his eyes only to cringe and shut them tightly again as the light flooding through his windows blinded him. He then slowly sat up in his bed, letting his feet dangle over the edge. He squinted, trying to get his eyes to adjust to the light, and after a few moments looked down at the arm that Rainbow had bandaged up the other night. There was only a light splotch of red, meaning the bleeding had stopped fairly quickly after the bandage was applied. Sabre then moved it experimentally and winced when he felt a small twinge of pain run up his arm. He grumbled, knowing that it would be more difficult to do tasks he once found easy and simple, but at least it didn't hurt as much as it had before Rainbow bandaged him. With a sigh, Sabre sat up getting ready to go downstairs and dreading for when Rainbow would make a fuss about his arm. He looked out the window for a few seconds, taking his time. He smiled when he noticed a black bird with white specks around its' neck perched on the blue portal, looking back at him, then back over the rest of the hub.

Sabre headed down the stairs and was surprised to see the Orange leader chatting with the others, including blue steve, who Sabre hadn't seen in a while(yes, I remembered him this time). Time seemed to be cooking something for breakfast again. When Sabre stepped into the room, some of the steves noticed his arrival, as Orange Leader gave a small smile and wave to him, Blue Steve a respective nod, and Rainbow steve got up from the chair he had been sitting on previously and raced over to Sabre. "Sabre! How's your arm?", rainbow called with a hint of concern in his voice, while coming up to Sabre swiftly. Sabre gave an exasperated breath, having expected this.

"I'm fine Rainbow, a bit sore but that's pretty much it", Sabre replied softly to his worried friend, knowing that Rainbow just wanted to know if he was ok. Like the Rainbow from Steve Saga, he liked to put others before himself, which was kind, but it also meant he sometimes didn't take proper care of himself. Sabre suddenly remembered what had happened yesterday with the infected Violet Steve, and he was suddenly concerned for his friends' wellbeing. "Are you okay though? Y'know, after what happened yesterday..", Sabre trailed off, as he saw his friend falter at remembering the incident.

"Yeah, I'm fine..", Rainbow replied quietly, to which Sabre was about to reply to as he didn't seem fine, but was stopped as Time called them for breakfast. Rainbow suddenly seemed relieved and brightened up a bit for not having the talk about it. Sabre decided he'd let the topic go for a bit longer.

Everyone sat at the table as Time served out plates with cooked chicken in front of everyone. Sabre was about to start eating when he saw Elemental looking at him oddly and making a small 'uhm' sound. Sabre looked up at him.

"Hm?", Sabre hummed, hinting Elemental to tell him what was wrong.

"Well, erm...", Elemental started, loosely gesturing toward Sabre then the food. Sabre looked back and forth, trying to figure out what Elemental was trying to hint at, until it clicked when Sabre remembered he was wearing a chicken onesie. As soon as he had figured it out, he burst out laughing, not having expected Elementals' reaction. As soon as some of the others figured it out, they started to chuckle too, Blue Steve the only one trying to contain his laughter. Elemental seemed flustered and sunk into his chair. Soon, everyone calmed down, and Sabre noticed Elemental now looked quiet nervous from the sudden attention from the others. Sabre then looked to Orange leader and decided to try and change the subject.

"So, uh, Orange Leader, what brough you to the Rainbow hub?", Sabre asked, not just to get some attention off Elemental but also for his own curiosity. The Orange Leader looked up at Sabre and gave him a nervous smile, while Elemental seemed to sigh in relief.

"Well, I heard what happened at the Violet Kingdom and wanted to come and check on how you were all going after that..", Orange Leader told him, but with the side glance he gave to Rainbow Steve, it was obvious he had come to check on the former Orange Steve and not so much the rest of them, which was fine as Sabre knew that the Orange Leader saw Rainbow, or more specifically Orange Steve, as a sort of son. After that, they all sat in silence for a few minutes, just eating the chicken that Time had cooked up, which Sabre had to admit was probably the most amazing thing he had ever tasted.

"Hey, do you guys remember what the person in the cloak said before disappearing?", Time asked, directing the question towards his brother, Rainbow and Sabre as they were the only other ones who were there. Those words the figure spoke seemed to be almost burned into Sabres' mind with how much venom was put into them. They all nodded.

"You mean that gibberish stuff?", Elemental said, slightly confused where his brother was going.

"Well, yes, but I don't think it was gibberish. I think it might have been another language. Is there any chance that you guys understood what he said at all? Or what language it was? Cause if we find out, me might be able to figure out who or what he is..", Time explained, waiting for a response from either Rainbow or Sabre, as it was obvious his brother hadn't understood a word the figure said. Rainbow Steve swiftly shook his head, while Sabre hesitated for a moment and shook he head as well. Time sighed in defeat and looked down. "Well, it was worth a try..", Time Steve muttered. Once he looked up again, he noticed everyone had finished and quickly stood to gather up all the plates. In response, everyone got up and gave him space to get to work with cleaning the dishes. Sabre was about to go to Time to offer help until he was stopped in his tracks by Blue Steve, who by his look knew what Sabre wanted to do, which confused Sabre quite a bit. Why was he stopping him?

"That wound doesn't look too good. You might want to get someone to heal that, at least a bit", Blue Steve advised, to which Sabre instantly knew why he had stopped him.

"Hey, maybe we could go to the Green Steves! They are all about health after all.", Rainbow Steve said having heard their conversation, and was now walking up to them.

"That's not a bad idea actually", Sabre nodded. They then started walking to the door, until they heard lightning, signalling that a portal was activating, and they all suddenly ran outside, the rest who had been idling inside the house came outside to see what had happened. 'We totally jinxed it..' Sabre though bitterly as he saw that the Green Portal had activated.

Fun fact; this chapter and the next were supposed to be one, but this ended up being a bit longer than I expected, so I've decided to split them :p (This was supposed to be the first third of the chapter)
