Sabre jolted upright, gasping for air as if he had been drowning. He clutched the sheets of the bed, waiting and listening. All he heard was the wind rustling the leaves outside and the faint chirping of crickets. He waited a few seconds for his racing heart to calm and then looked around the room he was in, seeing a darkly coloured bird still resting peacefully on top of a shelf, unbothered by the noise he had made, then looked outside. It was still dark out; he couldn't see any sign of the morning sun. He breathed a sigh of relief and looked down at his still slightly shaking hands. The memory of his nightmare was already foggy, and the harder he tried to remember the further it escaped his grasp.
'It was of The Steve Saga, wasn't it? Of course it was... Ugh, its gonna drive me insane that I can't remember it >:(. Oh well'. He gave up on trying to remember the nightmare as it probably wasn't important anyway and decided to try sleep some more. 'Jeez, that bird is a heavy sleeper :/', impressed that the bird was unbothered. At that, the man in the chicken costume pulled the covers that had now fallen off him and crawled back under the warmth of the bed sheets.

The sounds of squawking and flapping wings was what woke Sabre up the second time, opening his eyes to see what on earth the bird was doing then grimacing as rays of light hit his eyes, despite the bandana still covering them. He promptly pulled the covers back over him, only for the dark bird to fly to his head and start pecking and pulling at the covers.
"Fine! I'm up, I'm up...", Sabre grumbled while sourly pushing the sheets down and getting of the bed. The bird that had been harassing him sat on his head and proceeded to squawk even louder, prompting Sabre to look outside the window then to his door in case someone had heard it.
"What do you want!?", he whisper shouted at the bird, wanting it to quiet down. The bird immediately shut up and then flew over to the closed window and stared into his soul.
"... -_-", he looked at the bird with an unimpressed expression, walked over to the window to open it and then pushed the bird out before it even had the chance to open its wings, earning him and surprised cry as it fell a few blocks before opening its wings to properly get airborne, giving an angry squawk before flying away, leaving Sabre with a smug look on his face. 'That's what you get for pecking me >:)'.
With that, he got ready for the day and started walking down the stairs and towards the door. He'd make some breakfast after checking up on everyone else to see if they're awake or not. Only a few steps past the dark brown doors and he heard lightning from the portal area. He looked panicked towards the empty frames, noticing the lightning was striking the Orange Portal as it lit up with the equivalent of RGB lights. Rainbow steve wasn't here, and he didn't even know if the others were awake-
He stopped his panicked train of thought as he saw a multicoloured steve and a deep orange steve step through the portal. 'ohthankgoodnessIthoughtthosecloakpeopleweredoingevilstuffagain-', Sabre relaxed a bit and smiled seeing that his friend was laughing at something the Orange Leader had said, obviously being in a better mood than he had last seen him. As Sabre began walking towards the two, his colourful friend noticed him and waved at him excitedly, while the Orange leader gave a friendly smile, glad as Sabre to see the former Orange steve happy.
"Hi Sabre!", the vibrant steve yelled to the player as soon as they were in hearing range, giving his friend a goofy smile.
"So, what did you two get up to?", Sabre asked the two, curious as to what put his friend in such a good mood. Rainbow Steve's eyes lit up as he excitedly took a flower crown out of his inventory. Sabre only got a glimpse before the flower crown was quickly plopped onto his head. Taking a surprised step back, he gently took the crown off again to get a proper look at it. The flower crown had a mix of deep green and lime leaves belonging to the ocean blue cornflowers and bright pink alliums, the stems being expertly woven together so that they wouldn't fall apart. He smiled and looked back up at his excited friend, who was now impatiently jumping up and down waiting for his reaction. Seems like he completely forgot about what happened the day before.
