Eve's POV
Walking at night to go home after a long day of work was a usual thing for me. Being by myself was a usual thing for me as well.
So how the hell did I end up in a dark alleyway running away from something or someone.
At first, I heard someone say my name then the next thing I know I'm thrown to the ground harshly. Before I could look to see who pushed me down, they disappeared so I quickly stood up and started to run.
I kept running until I hid behind a safe area that had a bar close by. Once I saw that the coast was clear, I ran as fast as I could to the bar and swung the door open causing stares from people but they continued doing what they were doing after a few minutes.
"Are you alright, darling?" The bartender asked as I sat down on the stool. When we made eye contact, I nodded my head with a smile before taking out my phone.
I needed to call my best friend, Ashley Choi because this was getting hectic and she's probably where I am at this time of night. As I was calling her, I made sure to look around to see if that thing or person is still following me. Getting suspicious I got up from the stool and walked to the ladies' room. Once I got inside she didn't pick up her phone so I called her again while looking at myself in the mirror. I looked like I had a long day, my hair was fuzzy, my bags started to show, and my lips were chapped. No wonder why everyone was looking at me strangely and why the bartender asked if I was okay.
Even though I nodded my head yes, I wasn't okay. There was something after me and nobody could tell me otherwise. When the voicemail came again someone opened the door roughly causing it to hit the wall but when I looked to see no one was there.
"Hey, 내꺼 (mine or sweetheart),"
𝗢𝗵, 𝗻𝗼. 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝗲.
"What are you doing in here, hiding from me?"
I turned around slowly and saw a man dressed in an all-black suit. His shirt was unbuttoned and he was wearing a black fancy coat along with black boots. His skin was pale, paler than usual. But his eyes...something about his eyes was very dark and it created a heavy aura around him.
Even though I was scared of him and my mind was racing, his facial features looked oddly familiar.
"You don't remember me?" He tilts his head with a smirk and I squint my eyes.
"We're you the person who pushed me down and ran after-
Before I could even finish my sentence, he got in my face and put his hand around my throat. The rings around his fingers were intensifying the pain even more.
"That wasn't the question," He leaned in forward, inches away from touching my lips. "Do you remember me?"
He released his hold a little on my throat so I could talk and I nodded before looking down.
"Your face looks familiar but I don't know or remember you. Sorry," I spoke softly and he exhaled before looking at my chest then slowly his eyes made their way to the side of my neck.
The more he stared at my neck, his breathing started to pick up causing his chest to go up and down. After a while, his eyes started to glow red and I was getting scared by the minute.
"Please...don't hurt me." Tears fell down my cheeks and he made eye contact with me again. Rather than seeing that hungry look in his eyes, I saw something else this time.

"Listen, babe. I'm going to let you go but you have to listen to what I'm about to tell you. Can you do that?"
I nod my head quickly causing him to let go of my neck and step back slowly. He was a man of his word after all.
"Good girl. Now what I'm about to tell you isn't a bedtime story that you tell kids. It's more of a tragedy...can you handle that, 내꺼?"
"Yes, I can." I nod slowly and he leaned against the counter.
"Let's start from the beginning and why I look familiar to you," He crosses his arms with a stern look before looking at me. "We used to work at the same job together, last year."
