"C'mon Megan. Let's go to the club and meet some people," My best friend, Kat says as she pulled my arm.
"I know with your sexy self we're going to get a lot of attention," My other friend, Danny says.
"For the billionth time...no," They both sigh.
"I am not going to the club tonight especially on Valentine's Day." I scoffed
"That's the whole point!" Danny exclaims.
"Wait, you don't have a man." Kat looked at me confused as I put back a few clothes that didn't fit me.
"Exactly, so for the time being I will be spending Valentine's Day with myself because I deserve it," I explained with a smile on my face.
"Is this part of your self-love journey," Danny asked and I laughed before nodding.
Danny and Kat have been friends with me for five years. The first time meeting them was at a nightclub downtown in Chicago and it was a guy trying to force me to dance with him. Even when rejecting him plenty of times he still didn't get the hint. So I tried to move but in the process of me walking away, he grabbed my butt. Luckily, Danny was there because he kicked the guy in the balls. I've never had someone do that for me, let alone stick up for me in that way. I told Danny thank you many times but all he said was "it's my job." Later on that night, he decided to take me out to a restaurant along with his friend and that's when I met Kat. We had an amazing time that night and I didn't know that there were going to be other many amazing nights with Danny and Kat.
"This is crazy but cool at the same time," Kat says as we walked out of the store together.
"So will you please leave me be about going to the club?" I whined causing Kat to roll her eyes and Danny to laugh at me.
"Yes, we will." He puts his arm around my shoulder and Kat does the same.
"Alright, alright. I'll let you slide," She said as we walked into another store called Hot Topic.

After spending some time with Danny and Kat at the mall. I went home and made myself a sandwich while watching a movie. When I was done eating, I went to my room, took off my clothes, and hopped in the shower.
