Alicia was a hardworking nurse who has never complained or talked badly about her job. She did what most nurses do, have a kind heart towards people. Even when the people weren't always nice, she still put on a happy face and went on about her day. She was the type to always make someone else happy whether it was an encouraging message or being there when no one else would. Alicia was someone you could count on and that drew Lee Soo Hyuk's attention.
The first day as a nurse, Lee Soo Hyuk was very nervous but no one could tell by his intimidating demeanor. His first patient went well but his second was the hardest because they were not corporating at all until a sweet beautiful nurse came into the room.
"Hey, what's the matter here?" She asked the old patient as Soo Hyuk watched in the background.
"I don't want this doctor, I want my other one. Alicia, she's nice." The old man walked around in a circle, scratching his head in confusion.
"I'm Alicia, Mr. Johnson," Alicia pointed at herself and he stopped pacing around. "But I have another doctor who is someone you could trust." She smiled as the old man's face softened. Alicia looked back at Soo Hyuk and pulled him close.
"Soo Hyuk will take great care of you but you have to listen to him." She spoke calmly and he listened to every word.
Since then, she has helped Lee Soo Hyuk with every patient until he could stand on his own feet and be confident in himself. Over time they developed a beautiful relationship. However, everything in Alicia's life was fine except for her boyfriend.
Michael was a man who started off showering her with gifts, expensive clothes, and love. However, six months into their relationship he became abusive and overly emotional. So everyday Alicia had to come home to his nagging, anger, complaints, manipulation and destructive behavior.
At the moment, Alicia was coming home from work and dreaded the thought of even stepping into the apartment because she knew he was there.
She opened the front door and put her jacket on the coat rack before walking into the living room where Michael was sleeping on the couch. Alicia tipped toe over to him and watched his face.
It was moments like this where she would forget about how horrible he was and take in the peace that was before her. Michael looked so peaceful with the covers over his body and his arm over his toned belly. She moved his black locks and placed a kiss on his forehead.
Alicia went to the bedroom to take a shower so she removed her scrubs then put them into a basket of unwashed clothes. When she was done in the bathroom, she put on her pajamas and was getting ready to go rest.
"You're home late," Alicia turned to see Michael standing by the door. "Again."
She chuckled before walking to him and put her hands on his shoulders, despite his annoyed expression.
