Enjoy, beautiful people 💋
Friday Night
"Baby, I am so sorry. She was nothing to me, I regret everything that I did to you. Please call me back,"
That was the third voice message I listened to tonight from my ex, Mark Lee. He cheated on me with one of the coworkers from my job.
Was I heartbroken?
No.
Why?
Because I started not to care about him. It all happened when I got a promotion at my fashion interior design job. The hours that I was going to be working were going to affect my relationship with Mark. Meaning our time together was going to shorten and that meant we would see less of each other. After a while, he would come home late and not show any sign of affection towards me. So, I started to pick up on the signs that he was cheating on me but I would push them to the side and focus on the things that I had to do for my boss. This job was important to me and Mark knew that. However, he didn't care. That's why I should've left him and moved on with my dream job. But I waited until I caught having Mark making love to a girl that wasn't me on our couch.
Right now I was at a bar downtown in Hong Kong, the city was so beautiful at night, and since today was an off day I decided why not go out on a date by myself since my dickhead of a boyfriend wanted to cheat on me. I was making reservations on my phone for my private home to be set up the way I wanted it. Then I assigned some men to get all of my belongings from my ex-boyfriend's house to my luxurious house.
When I looked up from my phone to take a sip of my drink, my eyes fell on a mysterious man who was looking at me from across the rooftop that we were on. I smiled at him before facing the bartender in front of me, Marty.
"He looks hot," Marty smirked as he cleaned a cup and I chuckled at his comment.
Marty knows me because I used to come here a lot especially on Fridays. After all, those were my days off from work and we hit it off quickly.
"He is but I'm probably not his type, you know these Asian dudes are different over here. They would rather be with thin pale girls before looking at someone like me,"
I said without thinking before taking another sip out of my glass.I think the alcohol was starting to creep up on me because I am not this blunt.
"Damn, that was harsh, Angie." Marty acted as if he got stabbed in the heart and I laughed.
