"We are friends, right?"
Seonghwa smiled as he walked down the streets of Manhattan with headphones in his ears. Golden hour was approaching so the sun was shining on his face and he wanted to take pictures of his surroundings. His aesthetic as a photographer was taking pictures of the sunset and the colors were gold yellow or orange. That's the way Seonghwa saw the world through joyous light. Yes, he knew the ups and downs of life but he was the type to never let that get to him.
He of all people should have been affected by the mishaps and downsides of life but Seonghwa was strong.
Seonghwa walked downstairs into his favorite coffee shop and waved at the workers who walked past him. They all knew him there and a few were his friends.
He sat down in one of the chairs and waited for one of the waiters to come as he continued to listen to music.
"Hey, hwa!" Hongjoong said but Seonghwa didn't hear so he put the menu in front of him.
"Oh, sorry. I was listening to Ravyn Lenae's new album," Seonghwa chuckled as he took off the headphones.
"I heard it was good,"
"Good? No, it's amazing." He grabbed his chest dramatically causing the waiter to laugh.
"What do you want today?" Hongjoong grabbed his pen and handbook.
Seonghwa gave the waiter his order then went back to putting on his headphones and looking at the photos he took today. While he was in his own world, a woman walked in the shop annoyed.
She aggressively sent a text to her co-worker because he was trying her and she was pissed off at the fact that these people didn't like to work. But her frown went away once she saw a waitress come and greet her.
"Hello, welcome. Take any seat, ma'am." She said while cleaning tables.
So the young woman found a spot near a man that was bobbing his head to music with a white beanie on causing her to look at him curiously but gazed away realizing how weird it was to do that.
After she sat down, she took in the nice industrial decor of the place. Her friends recommended this coffee shop to her because it was near the job she worked at.
All was going well until she got a phone call from the same annoying co-worker and this was her last straw.
Seonghwa finally looked up and saw the scene in front of him. He took off his headphones to hear the young woman's conversation on the phone because he was too nosy for his good.
"Listen, I told you once so I won't tell you twice. Calm the hell down, you are doing way too much over a seven paper essay."
He heard her say, she was trying to lower her tone but it was hard because the person wasn't letting up.
