Abigail's POV
"I want you two to kill your ex-boss," Lucas says confidently.
I look at Yuta who was already looking at me. Just by the look on his face made it hard for me to see what he was thinking. I looked down at my unfinished plate and thought to myself for a moment because it was a lot to take in.
"Sir-
"Please call me Mr. Wong," He corrects me with a smile and I nod before continuing.
"Mr. Wong, how do you know if I'm capable of killing my boss?" Lucas sits back in his chair and Yuta looks at him now.
"I don't but with the help of Yuta letting me know about your history and how you handle things. Shows me that you are a woman of respect and morals. And your boss-
"Well ex-boss," Yuta butts in and I saw that annoying smudge on his face.
"Ex-boss," Lucas looks at Yuta before locking eyes with me. "Is a man who has no respect or morals. He just kills whoever can get him more money and that's someone who is dangerous to be around with,"
The man who I've been working for, the man whose been taking care of me ever since Yuta left has no morals?
"How do you know that?" I question but more to myself.
Lucas exhales before speaking up. "Because he killed my brother, the only family I had beside my wife. He killed him for money and was trying to get to me,"
My heart dropped just by hearing those words leave his mouth. I couldn't believe my boss would do something so cruel and evil. He never betrayed that side of him to me or maybe he did. And I choose not to see because of my emotions. I was so caught up in seeking revenge from Yuta that I didn't see what he was doing in the background.
"I understand this is a lot to take in, Abigail." I hear the sadness in Lucas voice and I gulped feeling the tears waiting to fall down my face.
I felt betrayed, lost, and confused all at the same time.
"Maybe because Wonho has been feeding her lies the entire time. Just like he did to me," Yuta said causing me to look at him.
For the first time, I saw something new in Yuta's eyes. It was dark and I couldn't tell if it was anger or sadness. But all I knew was that I was hurt and I needed someone to calm my emotions down before they pour out.
"Thank you for telling me this," That was the only thing I could say at the moment because my mind was in a blur.
Lucas stands up from his chair and fixes his jacket before looking at us. "Once you are finished with your food and getting situated. I would like for you two to be at my house to discuss business. See you later." And with that he leaves the room.
There was silence in the bedroom but the tension was heavy. I stood up from the bed and walked over to Yuta who was eyeing me the entire time.
"Is it true that Wonho lied about you wanting to kill me and destroying our clan to ashes?" I asked with a shaky voice, already knowing the answer but I needed to hear it from him.
He straightens his back and gives me his attention. "Yes, he lied."
Once he said that, the tears came down and I was a sobbing mess under Yuta. He pulls me to his chest and wraps his arms around me. Putting his chin on top of my head, I hold him tightly hearing his heart beat.
My mind couldn't comprehend what was going on and I couldn't believe that I blamed Yuta for all of this when it was actually Wonho. The monster I let control my mind, the monster I trusted, and the monster I called master.
"It's okay, baby." He softly rubs my head.
"No, it's not. I betrayed you when all you did was love me!" I shouted in his chest and he held me even tighter if possible.
"I hate myself."
Third Person POV
Yuta couldn't believe the words that were coming out of Abigail's mouth. But he understood how she was feeling because he felt the same way the day his master betrayed him. However, they needed to put the past behind them and get the job done. As of right now, he needed Abigail back on her feet and to be a warrior.
"Baby,"
She looks up when he calls for her.
"I know you are in pain because of the damage Wonho has caused you. But don't get it twisted you are not to blame for this, he soon will pay for this. I promise you."
When they lock eyes, Yuta brings her chin and gives her a peck on the lips. A warm feeling that Abigail had missed from him. After she left with Wonho, every day she missed his touch, smile, and love. If she could rewind time to the day she met Yuts she would.
"Come on," Yuta steps away from her and goes to his closet.
He laid out some clothes on the bed for her before scanning her confused face. "Let's go to Lucas's house, we will discuss everything there."
"Yuta, before I say yes to this deal," She walks up to him and he looks at her deeply, waiting for her next words. "I want to know if you are going to be by side and never leave."
"Oh, princess. Is that even question? Of course I will be by your side and you will never have to question that in your mind again. Is that clear?"
She smiles happily, knowing that he meant every word.
"Clear."
