"Come on, Nancy! You are always working.""Yeah, let's go, I heard they are going to be celebrities there."
My best friends Tina and Temica who happened to be sisters were pushing to go to the 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐛. They came over my house for a movie night but instead they come over all dressed up in their sexy dresses trying to persuade me to go to a club.
I was the introvert in the group while they were the extroverts so you already see my struggle.
"Please, guys. I don't like clubs," I put the covers up to my chest on the bed.
"How don't you like clubs but you've been to one before?" Tina crosses her arms while Temica squints her eyes at me.
"Because people are there. Sweaty people at that and I don't like to get sweat on me." I said trying to sound dramatic.
"Nancy, please." Tina rolls her eyes at me, not taking any more of my dramatics.
"Listen, if you don't like the club. We won't ask you to go to one ever again, okay?" Temica sat next to me on the bed. That didn't sound too bad of an offer.
"Okay, I will go." I shrugged my shoulders.
"Really?" Tina's eyes got big.
"Yes," I nodded.
"Yayyyyyy!" Temica and Tina shouted in unison before pulling me get off the bed.
"Okay, we are going to dress you up." Tina took me to the mirror in my bathroom.
"If that's okay?" Temica joined us with a curling iron, she waited for my response.
"Yeah, it's fine. Just make me look pretty," I sat down on my white fuzzy chair that matched the vanity mirror in the bathroom.
"Sweetie, you are already pretty." Tina rubbed my shoulders.
"Matter of fact, you are beautiful." Temica puts some of my hair up and left the rest of it down. I had put weave in my hair like two weeks ago and I just left it straight because I wasn't going out like that. "Now you are going to look fabulous when we are done with you." She says causing me to smile.
"In the meantime, let's listen to music while we do our thang," Tina says before connecting her Bluetooth to my Beats Pill.
Tina did my makeup while Temica did my hair. I had my eyes closed the whole time, enjoying the music that played and imagined what it was like to go to a club. I was always busy with either writing because I am an author or making music so I never had the time to go out and have fun like that. When I moved to South Korea, I met Tina and Temica at this coffee shop that I would go to write my books on the laptop. Even though I would ask for a simple drink, Tina would add whipped cream or do creative to it and Temica would make me good sandwiches. I was always thankful for those two and now that I have them in life, it's one of the best things in South Korea for me.
