"good morning" finneas says as i enter the studio. he gives me a quick hug and goes back to drinking his coffee. "you excited to get the song finished" he asks as i take a seat on the chair opposite him.
i nod leaning back, "yeah i am, should be good" i say and he smiles. a tired looking billie enters the room, her eyes scanning over us both.
she gives her brother a one arm hug and then comes over to me, wrapping both her arms around my shoulders. she then takes a seat next to me, getting some bottles of water out of her bag and handing one to each of us.
"ok so we need to finish the production today and get a few more harmonies down for the chorus" finneas tells us.
he stands up, "i'll go set everything up" he adds, entering the studio room.
billie turns to me, shifting at an angle in her seat so her body is in my direction. "this outfit is cute" she says, gripping my sweatshirt a little in her hand and then pulling on one of my chains.
i smile at her and she smiles back warmly.

"you make it look so easy, turn around and leave me. i'm left alone to tear myself apart, tear myself apart" i sing one more time before finneas lets out a big cheer.
we did it, it's finally finished. i collapse down onto the couch with a sigh, i'm exhausted. my mom kisses my cheek as i close my eyes momentarily.
the couch sinks on my left, an arm leaning against mine. i open my eyes again and find billie there on her phone, head leaning back.
"you know tate your lucky you got billie to help, she hates making songs so bad" finneas explains with a laugh, i smile back at him grabbing my water bottle and taking a sip.
me being clumsy as fuck i completely miss my mouth and spill it all over my lap.
"good job" billie says laughing, leaning forward to hand me some paper towels which she puts on for me. i look at her and shake me my head with embarrassment.
"that is such a me thing to do" i say, mentally slapping myself, trying to soak the water up.
"you look like you've pissed yourself baby" she says with a grin, before going back to her phone.
baby?
after i dried myself off, i groan and collapse back into the couch, accidentally banging into billies shoulder. damn i didn't realise she was that close.
she looks at me with one eyebrow raised, as i panic and quickly move off her. "if you wanted to cuddle you could just ask mcrae" she says with a smirk trying to wind me up.
i run my hand on my forehead in embarrassment as she continues to laugh at me. but unexpectedly she pulls me into her body slightly, making me tense up. her arm draped around my shoulder and the side of my body leaning in hers.
well this is interesting.
I don't know when I will see billie after this, yes I am in la quite often but why would she want to see me, Im surprised she even wanted to help me with this song.
