With Theo's first lacrosse game over and done with, it was time for the after party. Lydia had come back to Beacon Hills for the weekend. Melissa was working graveyard that night and gave Scott permission to have others over. Chris had left to do something that not even Melissa knew, so it was just the kids for the night.
Scott had music playing as everyone was laughing, sitting together in his living room. Theo was on the floor sitting between Cory and Nolan as Scott, Lydia, and Liam sat on the couch. Mason was on the opposite side of Cory. Y'know, the place you'd expect him to be because they're practically inseparable. Theo looked around at the crowd, smiling at them all. Now that he thought about it, even if Scott wasn't here, they would be a pack. Well, the others would be. Theo wasn't too confident in their liking of him to think they'd be fine with him.
Watching the group, Theo noticed how everyone was comfortable around each other. They were a family. And he was that one weird friend who tagged along to the family reunion. Thinking like that, part of him fell apart inside. So, quickly, the chimera stood up and just left the group. The part that hurt him most is that, even though he stopped and waited, he noticed that no one seemed to be phased by his abrupt exit.
He trotted up the steps and went into the spare room. Almost slamming the door, Theo collapsed on to the bed face first. He hated get togethers. Especially when all your fun is in the person who's sitting right across from you that you can't take your eyes off of.
Theo knew that the other's night was just beginning, but he was perfectly fine with his ending right then and there. And with that, Theo closed his eyes and let his night come to an end.Walking forward, Theo was moving through a field. The grass was tall, at about the height of his knees. Just ahead of him, someone was standing with their back towards him. The back of the shirt they were wearing had Theo's lacrosse number and the name "RAEKEN" sprawled across the back.
Walking closer, Theo reached his hand out before taking the hand of the one in front of him. He pulled on their hand, watching as they turned towards him. Theo was met with Liam's pleasant smile once more. A smile that he couldn't get enough of and enjoyed more than he liked to admit.
The smile gave him hope and happiness. He liked that smile, saying that only Liam could pull a smile like that off. He was right, too. That smile belonged to the one and only Liam Dunbar and he was the only one who could smile like that. Even in the worst times, that smile would come through.
Theo smiled back at the beta before watching him turn away and walking forward, dragging the chimera with him. He didn't know where they were going, but he was glad to follow. It didn't take long for them to reached a small cliff, both of them holding hands still as Theo smiled at the other male.
"Together," Theo told Liam. "Together," Liam replied to Theo. And together, they stepped off the cliff.Once he had realized what was happening, it was too late. Theo had been sleep walking and was now falling down the stairs from the very top floor. The male didn't even have time to scream before the first smack. He didn't know what time it was, but he was definitely waking people up. Once he hit the bottom, the first person he saw was the last person he expected.
Liam came forward, looking at Theo with worry in his eyes. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked, squatting down in front of Theo. Unsure of how to feel about the beta's act of kindness, Theo tried to talk but only awkward sounds came out. He heard some noise upstairs, looking up quickly to see a shirtless Scott appear at the top. If Scott was in bed already, why was Liam still there?
After a bit of a talk, and a realization that Theo needed a lock on his door, the chimera found out that Liam had decided to spend the night so that way Mason and Cory could have a night to themselves. Scott had taken Nolan home at one point and Lydia was at her mom's for the night. And during that conversation, it was agreed upon that Liam should stay the entire weekend. To keep an on Theo, mainly, but they agreed not to make a big spectacle of it.
