Days passed where Kageyama would treat Hinata nicely, buying him meat buns and such. He would always try to strike up a conversation, or try to make the boy feel happy whenever he feels down. One day, he finally grew the balls to tell Hinata.

"B-boke...I like you!"

The wind rustled, leaves blowing around. Hinata's hands were interlocked with his own behind his back, he cocked his head to the side slightly with confusion.

"What do you mean Bakayama? Of course, you like me? I like you too!"

Kageyama sighed at the oblivious tangerine.

"No, I mean I like like you and want to be more than friends..."

"Like like? So...does that mean you want to be BEST FRIENDS?"

Hinata innocently said, smiling at the raven-haired male. Obviously, Hinata knew what he was talking about, but he had a part to play. He had to be the innocent cinnamon roll he deemed to be.

Kageyama sighed, "No...not like that...w-whatever b-boke!"

Hinata giggled softly, walking closer to Kageyama. He reached over, getting on his tippy toes. He couldn't reach, so he pouted softly.

"Baka Kageyama Baka! You're too all!"

His cheeks were puffed, arms crossed as he tried to reach the top of Kageyama's head. The milk-addicted male chuckled bending over. Hinata happily smiled, patting the top of his head.

"There there Bakayama, if you wanted to be mega best friends you could've just said so!"

"Gah, BOKE HINATA BOKE!"

Hinata chuckled, before waving and running away. This continued, as a routine, Hinata would greet Kageyama at the front gate with a head pat, and they'd walk to class together. Then, after school Hinata would give him head pats before waving goodbye and leaving.

"Boke, why do you never eat during lunch?"

"I don't feel like it! Plus, I just eat a bunch when I go home!"

"Boke, Hinata Boke! S-say Ahhhh..."

Hinata tipped his head sideways, grinning happily.

"Ahhhhhh~"

Kageyama fed him a bite of tamago (egg).

"Kyaaa~"

Hinata shook his head side to side, hands on his cheeks as he nommed on the food.

Kageyama's face flushed at the thought of what he did.

An indirect k-kiss...with Shoyo-

Hinata questioned him, giving him a look. "Hm?"

"N-nothing, b-boke!"

Hinata cooed, continuing to chew on the food, before swallowing. Once he was done, the bell rang. "Bakayama hurry up or we'll be late!"

"Oi, slow down!"

Hinata grabbed onto Kageyama's hand, dragging him to class. His cheeks flushed softly, as he got tugged along to class.

"Sho-Chan!"

"Ya-Chan!"

The two hugged.

"I was wondering if I could talk to you after school...alone..." She said, glancing quickly at Kageyama before looking back at Hinata.

"Sure thing! I'll meet you behind the school?"

She nodded, heading back to her seat.

The rest of the day passed by, and it was finally time for Hinata to meet up with Yachi.
