The sunrise came as if it had missed the sky and wanted nothing more than to warm up those blues to a radiant gold. It had been a dream of mine since I had first seen images of colourful balloons floating above the fairy chimneys and dotting the lunar landscape. Anne had always wanted to visit this place but we never got around to it, especially not when she had been fighting cancer for more than two years before succumbing to it. If she was alive, she would have been very happy to see that I was here with someone who had slowly crept his way into my life and made himself indispensable, to the point that I was scared of losing him. The one who had tilted my world on its axis and made me question all the years before him. We had begun our journey from the hotel to the launchpad after a hearty Turkish breakfast, even before the sun had kissed the horizon. The cold day was all around, the kind of cold that made me want to huddle under the parka and slide against his warm body as he stood beside me taking my pictures, yet the good memories from last night and his warm smile lit a hearth-fire within. I felt the calling of my own warm heart, as if in those quiet moments, as we flew high above in the hot air balloon over the picturesque landscape of Cappadocia , it was my home-song. --------------------------- (Kerem's POV)
