Chapter 12: Sibling!? [REWRITTEN]

[•James' POV•]
"James, sweety, we have something for you." Mother said as I walked over to sit on the couch parallel to them,  eyeing the medium sized box on the coffee table.

"We want you to open this present we got you." Father instructed as he pushed the box over to my side.

"Present?" I asked curiously, taking the box and putting it on my lap, carefully unwrapping it.

"Yes, your father and I found out a month ago. And after some time talking, we thought it'd best to let you know now." Mother informed with an anticipated smile, Father mirroring the smile.

I rose a brow at their words, but continued to remove the cover of the box nonetheless, revealing what was inside.

GASP!

There, I saw a pregnancy test that tested positive and a shirt my size that had the words written "I'm a big brother!" On it.

"Th-this is..." I stuttered.

"Yup!" Mother chirped with a grin.

"Your mother is pregnant with your future sibling." Father informed.

"I-i'll be a big brother...?" I breathed out.

"Yes/Yup!"

I blanched at their words.

[•Lunate's POV•]
I was just about finishing my paperwork when the doors to my office burst open suddenly, making me yelp.

"Master Lunate! I'm having a sibling!" The culprit, who is James, exclaimed, not in excitement, but horror.

Oh dear...

"Er, and you don't seem too happy about it...?" I questioned??? awkwardly.

Damn, I'm not really good with feelings.

"Of course I'm not!—" He slammed the doors closed as he stomped his way over. "—I'm having a sibling!" He exasperated while waving his hands everywhere, showing his point.

"I see, and that's a bad thing?" I asked.

"Well– no, not really. But I don't want a sibling!" He exclaimed while covering his face and dramatically falling on the couch beside him.

*Sigh* This was what I feared. How long is Lucine gonna take to finish her task? I really need her right now to deal with this emotionally unstable kid.

"Look, James, maybe it isn't so bad? I mean, not all siblings are proclaimed enemies. Fights and arguments, yes. But its not like you and your soon-to-be sibling will try to kill each other." I tried to calm the raging 10 year old.

Although it really will came to that, he doesn't need to know that.

"But I'm really busy dealing with school and being taught my duties as the future head of the clan to even have time to bond with my sibling! And they'd just be a distraction!" He reasoned, thrashing on my coach.

"And yet you have time to play with Lucine and I?" I countered with a rose brow.

"But— Well— That's different! You two are my babysitters!" He retorted weakly.

"No, it isn't any different, James. We're basically like your cousins who just wants to play around." I deadpanned.

"....." He was left speechless as he chew on his lower lip.
