Big parties were never really my thing. For the past years, I've only went to award show after parties because, well, to celebrate. But private parties? Not my thing. Besides, I only go to after parties because I know that my friends are with me somewhere inside the area.

I don't think parties are really that fun, anyway. Drinking isn't fun for me, and neither is talking to drunk actors trying to flirt with me. This night, however, I think I'm not going to regret going to this party - not when I saw someone who I can actually have a decent conversation with.

"Irene! Are you drunk?" I asked her as soon as she took her heels off and sat down on the floor. "Stand up, your gown's going to get dirty."

Irene looked up at me and pouted. "I'm not drunk. I'm just tired from all the talking inside. Sit down beside me." She pulled my hand down, causing me to stumble. Luckily, she was still holding my hand so I didn't fall on the ground. "Sorry, take off your heels first." I did what she said and carefully sat down beside her. "Come on, you can just wash that gown of yours tomorrow."

When I was already seated, I checked Irene's face. She looks sober. But still, I had to ask. "Are you drunk?"

"I am not." Irene answered. "I drank 3 glasses and that's that. I came here to avoid those actors trying to have a conversation with me."

"Where's Jin?"

"Somewhere outside the suite? I don't know!" Irene threw her hands up. "The guy just disappears whenever he wants to."

"Maybe he's talking to his manager now." I tried comforting her.

"He doesn't need to tell me where he goes, anyway." Irene sighed. "We're just friends."

"You still like my brother?" I asked her. Silence. I'll take that as a yes. "Why don't you tell him how you feel?"

Irene glanced at me with a weak smile. "It's too late already, Jisoo. And it was me who ended our relationship. I don't have the guts to tell him about my feelings for him anymore."

"Why did you end your relationship?"

"I told him I'll focus on our studies. It was fine back then, when I decided that. I graduated as one of the top in our batch, both in high school and College, and I remained friends with him." The side of her lips quirked. "After our graduation, I thought I could ask him out. I was sure of him that time. But then he got busy with.... someone."

"Someone?"

"Oh, you don't know about that?" I shook my head. Jin's hiding something from me? "I think he has a girlfriend. Or at least, someone he's talking to on the phone most of the time. It started just a month before our graduation."

"I have no idea about that one." I said.

"Anyway," Irene exhaled. "We really can't be together anymore. It's all my fault." She turned to me. "Enough about me. How about you? Don't you have a boyfriend now?" I tensed. "I won't snitch, Soo."

I shook my head. "I don't have one."

"What about Taehyung? Isn't he courting you since your 3rd year in College? Jin said you're pretty close with him again that time."

Jin, you're such a blabbermouth sometimes.

"He wasn't." I informed her. "We're just friends."

"Well, if it's not him, then don't you have someone in mind now? Surely, you have. There are a lot of pretty men around us."

"Actually..." I trailed.

Irene doesn't know about what happened between me, Taehyung, and Minhyuk. If Jin told her about something, I believe he just told her that Minhyuk and I broke up because of his work while Taehyung and I fell apart during our first year because of So Hyun.
