CHAPTER 62: PARAGRAPHS

TAEHYUNG'S POV

"Taehyung, here's some cola." Manager Nam sat down on the couch as he gave me a cup of coffee.

It's 2 in the afternoon, and I'm with him inside his office to talk about role offers or on-going auditions that he'd like me to go to. I checked the papers one by one. "Political drama? Nah. Historical? Already did that. Horror? I'm not a fan of screaming." They were all genres I wasn't interested in until my eyes landed on a particular series title. "Still With You. Sounds like... " I scanned the paper and saw who the director was. "Ahhh. I knew it."

"What is it?" asked my manager.

"Director Jeon sent me his story." I gave him the paper. "A romance tv series."

"Romance?" Manager asked again, "Aren't you saving that genre for someone?"

3 years ago, the first movie that my manager suggested to me was a romance series to which I declined and reasoned out that I'm still waiting for the right actress to work with in that genre. Today, I think I'm finally going to be in one.

"Should I accept the offer?" I asked my manager. "I mean, it's a big opportunity for me to explore another genre besides action."

"Hold on." Manager said. "I'll contact the casting director if you can audition." After half an hour, Manager Nam came back with a huge smile. "You can audition tomorrow. I heard your friend auditioned already."

"Friend?!" I stood up. "Who?!"

"Kim Jisoo? The one who just won the Best New Actress award? Am I right?"

"Manager, can I audition now?" I said, frantic.

Manager Nam pulled me back to the couch. "Why? You want to work with your friend that eagerly?"

"Screw it." I muttered. "I'm calling Jungkook."

"Jungkook?" Manager Nam checked the paper he was holding. "Jungkook, as in Director Jeon Jungkook? You know the guy?"

"We're super close." I told him as I searched for JK's name in my contacts.

"Taehyung-ah! Never thought you'd call me in the middle of the day. What's up?" Jungkook said casually.

"Give me the leading role." I told him, unashamed. I heard Jungkook laughing on the other line. "Dude."

"You have to audition first, Best New Actor." Jungkook replied. "You know that Jisoo already auditioned, don't you?"

"Yes!" I exclaimed, "And I know you'll choose her. JK, we already talked about this."

He giggled. "Relax, Tae. The role's already yours. Didn't my team inform your manager? You're my number 1 pick and so is Jisoo. She only auditioned for formality, and she's the only one I told to audition today." JK laughed evilly.

I sighed after hearing that. "You're going to get slapped when Jisoo hears that."

"Anyway, someone will just contact your manager about the schedule." Jungkook said. "I'm still finalizing some stuff with the producers. Lisa's sick so it's just me today."

"Really? Isn't she living in an apartment alone? Who's she with?" I asked in concern.

"Wanna find out?" Jungkook asked, sounding like he has some dark secret to tell. "Visit her. You'll see who."

As much as I'm curious about Lisa's lovelife, I wouldn't go there. "Nah. I'll wait til she spills. That girl's a little secretive. Roseanne too. What is up with your girl friends?"

"Dunno. Maybe they just have superstar boyfriends."

"Superstar boyfriends?" I repeated. "Rosie and Lisa have those?"
