CHAPTER 53: YOUR EYES TELL

The morning breeze woke me up from my slumber. I was in the passenger seat of our car, with Jin driving to the Min's beach house. Apparently, Jungkook insisted on shooting his short film here even with the older ones' protests. Jungkook already wrote the story and no one could stop him from bringing his story into life.

"Dude, we're here." I watched as Taehyung, who was squeezed in between Jimin and So Hyun, moved Jimin's head from his shoulder. So Hyun woke up, her arms linked around Taehyung's, and grunted.

"Are we there yet?" So Hyun asked.

"Almost there." Jin answered, "Taehyung, please wake the others up."

Taehyung did what my brother told him to. Jin's probably still sleepy by now since we started our trip at 4 in the morning. Taehyung volunteered to switch places when we were already halfway but Jin didn't budge. In the car with us were Jungkook, Yoongi, Lisa, and Rosie sitting at the back, Jimin, Jennie, Taehyung, and So Hyun in the middle, then me, and Jin in front. The rest I didn't mention were all too busy with acads. My boyfriend? Busy catching up with this one major subject today and he's going to meet his manager after so I guess it's going to be one boring weekend then.

Once we arrived inside the beach house, Jin immediately asked Yoongi's grandmother about the room assignments they have for us. Jungkook, Jimin, and Taehyung have one room, Jin's with Yoongi again, then it's me and the rest of the girls in another guest room.

"Jisoo, let's start filming now so we can have the afternoon as free time." Jungkook said.

"Chill, JK." Jimin placed his arms on both Taehyung and JK's shoulders, "We just arrived and you're already fired up to shoot for your film. Shouldn't you let your actors eat breakfast first?"

Jungkook apologized and placed the cover of his camera lens back. "Breakfast comes first. Come on!"

I only knew who the characters for Jungkook's short film were during breakfast. Apparently, he only needed me and Taehyung. The smirk he had on his face when he informed us that made me want to pinch his cheeks so hard, he'd cry for me to let go of him. He just can't let go of siding with Taehyung even though he knows the two of us decided to just stay as friends.

So Hyun, on the other hand, managed to handle the situation well.... Kinda. She was passive, unlike what she did back in the cafeteria, and that's the safest reaction we got since she started showing her symptoms. Being the kindest ones they are, Rosie and Lisa volunteered to stay with So Hyun and get her distracted with their antics while we helped Jungkook with his film. Jin and Yoongi dozed off half an hour after eating breakfast while the newest couple, Jennie and Jimin took advantage of the scenery and had their photoshoot.

"So, what's the story about?" Taehyung asked, his arms crossed over his chest as he looked at Jungkook. "Why do you only need me and Jisoo?"

"Cause you're the perfect duo for this!" Jungkook exclaimed, "To be honest, you two have more chemistry than the real couple over there." He jabbed his thumb to where Jimin and Jennie were. "Let's keep that between the three of us please. They'll kill me if they hear that."

"Oh they can't kill you." I said, "Cause I'll kill you first!" I raised my fist to threaten Jungkook but Taehyung was fast enough to drag me away from that brat. "I thought he only needed me." I told him.

"I told he only needed my help too." Taehyung huffed. "But let's just stay professional. We already proved that we can still work together during our musical. Helping JK with his film will benefit the both of us too. I asked Mr. Song about it and he said it's true."

I sighed in defeat. "At least we'll get extra credit." I turned to JK's direction, "Let's get this over with, Jeon!"

Jungkook flashed a wide smile. "Let's get it!"
