CHAPTER 11: SCENE THREE

SCENE THREE: STOMACH TIED IN KNOTS

Today's D-Day!

Since my brothers and I finished our requirements, we didn't go to school early. Instead, the three of us waited for Taehyung's SUV to pick us up at exactly 10 am, four hours before our play started.

Once we got to the auditorium, we found the dance club members already there practicing, with our club adviser, Mrs. Lee, and the dance club's adviser, Mr. Song Sungdeuk - who, in my opinion, looked really intimidating when checking the dance club's members.

Jin approached Mrs. Lee as he is the director of the play. Joon went straight to the auditorium to wait for Yoongi and Hoseok. Jennie went backstage to find Lisa, and the Park siblings, leaving me and Taehyung standing by the entrance of the auditorium.

"Want to practice with me somewhere?" Taehyung asked.

I shrugged. "Sure."

The auditorium has a second floor to cater for more students. Right now, there weren't any students hanging out on the said floor so that's where Taehyung decided we practice.

We kept on practicing before Jimin called us to eat lunch with them.

"How's practice?" Jungkook asked as we ate.

"I'm good." Taehyung then looked at me, "Soo?"

"I don't have many lines so I could say I'm good too." I said, "Where's Jin and Yoongi?"

"Still talking to Mrs. Lee about his scholarship." Namjoon said in between chewing.

My eyes widened, "Mrs. Lee's finally recommending them?"

"That's if our play today succeeds. If they get Mrs. Lee's approval, then she'll bring the board of directors and the principal of Korea National University of Arts himself here during Jin's last directorial play next year." Hoseok explained.

"That's awesome!" Lisa mused, "I want to be recommended to KNUA too."

"I hear Irene wants to go there too so she joined our club." Hoseok added. "But she doesn't aim to apply for a scholarship like Yoongi and Jin do."

"There seems to be lots of students from our school who want to go to KNUA." Taehyung said, "When we go there, we'll probably see a lot of familiar faces."

"That's why you have to do great in every performance, Tae." Namjoon said, "Same goes to all of you if you want to go to KNUA."

"I definitely want to go there!" Rosie said.

"You're going to take over Jin hyung's place when he graduates, right Joon hyung?" asked Jimin.

Namjoon shyly smiled, his dimples showing. "That's if you all vote for me."

"Of course, we will." we all said.

"Then I guess I will be the next club president."

"I'm already pumped up!" Taehyung exclaimed, "I can't wait for our play next sem!"

Namjoon and I both smiled, but I know we're thinking of the same thing.

After the last play for next semester, Jin will also leave us for college.

10 minutes before the play started, my stomach was already tied in knots.

Jin was calmly ordering us to standby and remember what we have to do during the play. Jennie, Rosie, and Lisa were busy with their own jobs so it was only me and the other actors watching members doing their jobs.
