I sighed in frustration as I looked at the amount of homework I still had to accomplish. It was just after breakfast on Sunday so I think I had plenty of time to get it all finished before the school week started again, but I wasn't sure and this annoyed me. I packed everything in my bag and headed down to the common room, determined that if I hurry I would still be able to get a good spot in the library.
I stopped short when a pair of leather, tan boots stood in my way. I followed them up loose fitting jeans and a sharp looking grey jacket over a white tee shirt. I was a little shocked to see the silver Prefect badge pinned to his shirt. I don't know if I've ever seen Namjoon in casual clothes before. "Good morning." I said shyly.
He waved his hand in front of my face awkwardly before falling into step beside me. "Where are you off too?" He asked, twisting his wand in his hands before dropping it as he fumbled forward. I watched with some amusement as he stumbled and tried to catch it before it hit the floor. "That was silly." He remarked nonchalantly as he placed the magical instrument carefully in his pocket.
"I have to finish my work so I was going to the library. Are you going to study today, Mr. Ravenclaw Prefect?" I asked, my voice light and happy as I tried to disguise my desire to giggle at his expense.
"No, I have Wizarding Chess Club today, after that I am going to meet Rose by the lake." He replied casually.
I was confused for a moment why he was still walking with me but I didn't want to be rude so I just asked the first thing that came to my mind. "What is Rose like, I don't think I've ever met her."
I could feel him blush from several feet away as he raised one hand to his face and coughed uncomfortably. "She's a Hufflepuff, in fifth year. I met her because of my friend Taehyung."
"Ah," I said remembering that name from the girls who were obsessing over him. "Wait, is he the one who summoned a snake for Hobi to practice around when he was learning how to turn a pawn into a queen."
Namjoon chuckled lightly as he reached up to squish his cheeks while he thought. "I decline to answer in the affirmative or negative."
"So you go for younger girls, Namjoon?" I asked instead, feeling like teasing him a little.
His voice was slightly darker when he answered and I wasn't sure how to interpret it. "I like the dynamic." We fell into slightly awkward, slightly companionable silence until we reached the library. "See you at lunch, Aislinn."
"You will?" I asked in confusion, furrowing my brow and shaking my head as I entered the library. I was thankful when I noticed that only a few tables were occupied with studying students, most of whom appeared to be fifth years. I passed them with pity, the work load for sixth and seventh year was definitely bigger but it was so much more stressful getting ready and studying for O.W.L.'s.
I sat down at my usual table and began to pile my work in front of me. If I concentrated I could probably be done just after lunch. It was mostly busy work at this point so all that was required was for me to focus. I was good at focus. I smiled a little to myself before the seat next to me was taken by a slightly rushed and energetic presence.
I looked over at them briefly, frowning when I realized I didn't recognize the person. "Found you." He said in an impossibly deep, playful voice before I was being pulled into a tight hug. He smelled like calming cedar and warmth but that didn't make me feel any better.
"Who?" I squeaked before a sharp snap came down on his other hand and he released me with a tiny yelp.
"I told you not to touch, Taehyung." Yoongi's cool voice said as he pulled back his wand and took a seat across the table from me.
