Yoongi frowned slightly, Jeongguk was right kissing was rather gross. Not that he minded exactly, he rather thought Hoseok looked good in love. It was just a lot to deal with, all of the time.

"We are trying to have a conversation." He said, his voice betraying only a slight inflection with the words.

Aislinn blushed and nodded, looking down but Hobi just beamed from ear to ear. His signature sunshine smile showing no signs of remorse. "You weren't talking to me." He answered back, leaning forward and taking a sip of his Butterbeer.

Yoongi scowled and nodded his head, technically Hoseok was right. That didn't make it any less distracting all the same. "Since we are planning what to do for your birthday, it would help if you pay attention." The cool Slytherin said back, raising an eyebrow as he sipped his Firewhiskey. Jin-hyung wasn't in the Three Broomsticks today so there was no stopping Yoongi from experiencing the burn as it filled his body with warmth.

"It's more than a month away." Hobi replied, shrugging his shoulders.

"We planned Jiminie's birthday before that." Taehyung pointed out, smiling his boxy grin at Hobi when the older Hufflepuff turned toward him.

"You're just upset we stopped you from making out with your pretty girlfriend." Jimin said, his voice light and teasing.

Aislinn giggled and tossed a bite from her scone across the table into his hair. "I'm right here you Gryffindor pimple."

Yoongi only smiled as he watched them throwing bits of food back and forth, Taehyung and Jeongguk joining in. He liked how happy Aislinn made his friend and how she was slowly opening up to them. They felt complete with her and it made him less afraid to leave his friends at the end of the school year.

"Yoongi?"

He froze in his seat, irritation making his fists clench. Even in the middle of a crowded room, the sound of that voice caused the hair on the back of his neck to stand on end. He chose not to respond, not to turn and acknowledge. She already did enough damage to him last year, there was nothing she could have to say to him this year. The time they spent together in class was enough, she didn't need anything more from him.

The others around the table grew silent as gazes darted to the space behind Yoongi's shoulder and the impassive expression on the quiet Slytherin. He took another sip of his Firewhiskey, unbothered. He knew from experience if he just pretended like she didn't exist, she would go away. Pretty lame for a Gryffindor, but he wasn't going to complain.

"Oppa," Aislinn's voice was the first to break the awkward tension, making Yoongi look into her face. She was remarkably pretty with her pale skin, dark hair and striking eyes, but she just wasn't his type. Not that he would have tried something either way, since she was obviously so in love with Hoseok.

"What?" He growled.

"I think you should go talk to her." Aislinn said, her voice imploring.

Yoongi just rolled his eyes, annoyed that he felt a slight pang of guilt for ignoring the girl for more than a year. "I'd rather not." He said instead.

"Min Yoon Gi," Aislinn challenged, her voice hard and slightly angry, making his eyes dart to hers in uncertainty. "Go." She demanded.

He squared his shoulders, prepared for a fight. Until he saw Aislinn's gaze divert back to the presence still behind his shoulder. Her gaze softened with something close to pity and Yoongi felt another guilty squeeze on his heart.

"Fine." He said, pushing his chair back roughly and rising to his feet. He barely glanced at the girl before stomping from the Three Broomsticks and out into the cold of the January Saturday. He moved around the edge of the building until he found a nice spot out of the way.
