"Of light? Are you sure?" I take a step toward mother who had just dropped the biggest bomb of the century. That Carmella was the goddess of Light
"Yes. I felt it that night, when you ran with her. That light, within her. . She has power over light. I'm almost certain, though it doesn't explain everything her capabilities can do." She mumbles quietly while fidgeting with her hands.
"Her powers, she can heal the wounded, the sick, and at very costly levels..bring back someone even on the brink of death. She can grow plants at a flick of her finger, understand all living things, and her power is a whiteish gold... she could very well be the most powerful Demi-goddess in Asgard.." Frigga paces back and forth while discussing her and everything was falling into place now. Everything made sense.
"She is too dangerous. I will banish her. In 2 weeks time. I shall let you two each spend a week with her if you so please. But she will be banished. I shall never tell you of where she will be. That way, you can not go after her."
"You must reconsider." Frigga tells him and he ignores her as he walks off. Mother steps in front of Thor and I pulling us into a hug. "I am so sorry that I could not do more for her. Your father is a stubborn man and there is nothing more I can do. You two have done the right thing and I couldn't be prouder." She kisses both our cheeks and I just smile at her as she leaves the room.
"Mum is way cooler than father." Thor whispers to me and I nod approvingly. "Are you going to spend your week with her? I know you two are close, you can take mine as well." Thor offers and I couldn't help but break into a rueful grin.
2 WEEKS LATER /////////CARMELLA'S P.O.V.
The two weeks had flown by rather quickly. My wound had healed up nicely and it was finally the last Sunday morning. The day I was to be banished. Every day since being back here, Loki had spent every waking second with me. He would read me books about magic, other days poems and some days my favorite chapters from the notebook. We would eat meal together in the med wing, me in bed and him at the edge of the bed with a tray in his lap. Some days we would just ask each other silly questions to get to know one another. I carefully got dressed in a black long sleeve gown. I left my hair down and slipped in my shoes. I looked down at my music box from Loki and sighed tucking it into my pocket. I sat on my bed waiting patiently for Prince Loki to enter and he did with something small in his hand. A vile tied to a string like a necklace.
"Good morning, Cara." He comes up to me and I automatically throw my arms around his shoulders and he carefully hugs me back, hands around my waist. For a long moment he doesn't let go. Just keeping me in his arms for as long as he can. "I have something for you. You don't have to take it if you don't want to, but it's an option incase you ever need it." He carefully hold it out showing me the clear liquid. "It will clear your memory of recent events
so that you may live a normal life were ever you are banished to." He ties it around my neck for me and I fiddle with the glass capped vile between my fingers. I turn to him looking up into his eyes."I would forget you?" I ask him and he goes silent for a moment not making eye contact. "But you are my best friend.. I don't want to forget you." I feel my eyes watering as I go to reach his cheek in my hand. He still avoids my glaze while leaning into my touch rubbing his finger over the back of my hand with his thumb. His eyes were were closed as he let out a deep sigh. "Look at me please." He carefully looks down into my eyes and nods.
"Cara, I will get you back again. We will be reunited once more. It just a matter of time. And considering we are both gods it shouldn't be too hard." He almost smiles. I carefully place my forehead against his and sigh while enjoying his closeness.
