"I hate fighting sexist bastards who refuse to fight me based on what is between my legs. It is rather frustrating. They don't have any problem fighting you," I stand silently next to Loki as I snap the neck of a dark elf letting his body drop to the floor.

"Cara, now is not the time to pick apart sexist pricks. Please pay attention to the task at hand." He stabs his dagger through another soldier and I shot a blast of light to the guard who was sneaking up behind him. "I saw him coming." He lies and I shake my head at him.

"Really?" I duck my head as he flips the dagger into the solider behind me. As his body drops I pull it out throwing it back to Loki who catches it in his left hand while slicing a throat. "Looks like we are even. Also you called me Cara. You never call me Cara."

"Must you talk this much mid-battle?" He spins in a graceful way while defending me against the creature who had grabbed my shoulder cutting off his arm clean. I push Loki's shoulder from the sword that almost cut him and blast the solider back with a blow of light.

"Oh be quiet Loki, you enjoy my conversations with you." I shove a solider onto his out pointed blade while jumping over a foot that tried to sweep under my legs. I land on his knee and it bend the opposite way now with a loud crack matched with an equal scream of agony.

"I admit your rambling helps me focus. You know, we should have a meal together some time after this." He pushes a guard towards my warm hands and gets painful burns at my touch of magic. He grins as another huge group surrounded us. "We make quite the deadly team."

"Like a date? I would love that. We do make a good duo though." They rush toward us with two coming head on with swords directly. I shove there daggers away with a flick of my wrist leaving them defenseless.

As I create a ball of energy between my fingers Loki watches my back and I shoot the beam sending a handful backwards as they topple over one another. "I wanted to tell you about my adventure your mother sent me on. I had to open a secret box and she wanted me to give this to you." As I turn I slip the ring into his open palm that waited on the arrival of what I planned on giving him. I laugh as he examines it. I borrow his dagger, watching his front. While slashing the throat of two men I quickly spare a glance at Loki who's cheeks were pink as he tucks the jewelry into his pocket.

"Does it mean something to you?" I ask while stepping on to the end of my staff that had fallen onto the ground which flicks it up and throwing it into the guy behind him. He realizes we are still being attacked and I throw his dagger back to him and he catches it by the handle continuing on.

"Yes. A great deal. Thank you." He smiles fondly at me as he kicks another mans knee breaking his leg.

"No problem. Duck." He ducks down with ease as I throw another ball of magic seeing Thor take on the the forsaken one on his own.

"Go help your brother. I got them and I'll watch Jane." As he rushes over. I use a thunder clap to knock the remaining men to the ground and rush over to Jane who was on the ground. I shouldn't have used that much energy but these bastards would not stop. My magic was dangerously low.

I sit her up and she takes my hands as I help her stand. She looks behind my shoulder where the boys were and gapes. I hear a moan of agony and turn to see the forsaken holding Loki to his already stabbed chest. Before Loki uses one of there dark matter bombs making the monster disappear in a swirl of red and black. I rush over flying and putting Jane down gently before falling to my knees at Loki's side.

"Hey, hey you are going to be fine." I try to gather my strength enough to heal him, but I was struggling as I could hardly get my fingers to spark. I hold his cheek with a hand on his wound. I hadn't realized I was crying until I needed to blink the tears so I could see him clearly again.
