It had been a week here in this little town called Norton, Maryland. Quite a charming little town. Word got out that I was some sort of magical healer and people from all over what Mary calls The United States to have me heal them. They all kept giving me rectangular green wades of paper. Mary said to keep it so I can go home. Paper? What am I going to do? Make a paper air plane and ride it? So instead of keeping it all, I put half of what I got to Ethan's bank account for astronaut school when he becomes older.

"I tore my ACL and I never will be able to play football again. Please I beg you, if you could squeeze me into your busy schedule! I don't have a lot of money but I am willing to work for it." A man maybe a bit younger than me with brown skin and dark curls begs and I put his 200 dollars back into his pocket and put my hand on his leg and it heals. The line had been made all the way through town and Mary and Stan's bakery became a hit as people were eating before meeting with me. I could only do so many people daily, it was a serious exertion of myself to help people but I did it anyway. Mid afternoon men in black suits came in and I smile. One man had a black eyepatch over one of his eyes and grimaces at my sight. The other man was shorter and white. He had light brown hair and a wisp of a smile as he slides off his sunglasses.

"What can I help you with?" They sit down at my healing table and the eyepatch man spits on the pretty candle that was burning and it hisses as the flame goes out. I frown sadly at it. I slowly grab a match box pulling out one of the stick and lighting the wick of the candle again and grin. "Your eye maybe?" I look up and he snarls.

"Cara Salvador?" The white man raises an eyebrow at me and I nod.

"Yes, that it my name! What can I help you with." I tilt my head and the eyepatch man clears his throat loudly. Both Mary and Stan come over putting a hand on my shoulder.

"Have we done something wrong?" Mary asks nervously and I squeeze her hand to reassure her.

"You have made quite the name for yourself here haven't you?" He slams a newspaper article with a picture of me on the front of it and the title read, Magical Healer of Norton, Maryland.

"Well, yes. I am helping people." I grin at them innocently.

"Ma'am, we need you to come with us." The eyepatch man said I felt nervous. What have I done wrong to earn this. I could see the crowd outside peaking in through the bakery window.

"What why?" I ask him and he narrows his eye.

"Listen kid. We can do this the easy way or the hard way." He places a pair of fancy looking handcuffs on the counter and I glance at them nervously.

"Please I have one condition and I shall come peacefully." I tell them and the man raises his eyebrow.

"And what's that?"

"To be sure that Ethan gets into astronaut school." Ethan comes running down the stairs and comes and he jumps into my arms and I pat his head soothingly.

"Astronaut school? That is your final wish?" The eye patch judges me and I shrug.

"I love this little guy. Listen Ethan, I have to go away with these men for a little bit. But I promise I will be back okay?" I kiss his forehead. His eyes begin to water up and I swallow deeply. The black eye-patch man rolls his eye and says that he is going to wait in the van.

"But Cara... you are my best friend. I don't want you to forget me." He tells me hugging me tightly and I shush him. Something about his words seemed familiar.

"Hey now. I could never forget you my best friend! I will see you again when you get into astronaut school." I tell him. And he nods as I wipe his tears. I stand up hugging Mary and Stan.
